Quantum Bernstein’s theorem and the hyperoctahedral quantum group [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2018
We study an extension of Bernstein theorem to the setting of quantum groups. For a d-tuple of free identically distributed random variables, we consider a problem of preservation of freeness under the transformations from the free orthogonal quantum group.

Carboxylic‐Acid Functionalized Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube‐Alkane‐Based Resistive Temperature Sensor for Cold Chain Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a reversible temperature sensor with high switching ratio, ∼103. The device is fabricated using PET‐ITO and carbon nanotube dispersions in alkane. Considering its application in cold chain logistics, a proof‐of‐concept with LED is showcased. Thus, a temperature drop below the threshold temperature (crystallization temperature of the

A modal-Hamiltonian interpretation of quantum mechanics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The aim of this paper is to introduce a new member of the family of the modal interpretations of quantum mechanics. In this modal-Hamiltonian interpretation, the Hamiltonian of the quantum system plays a decisive role in the property-ascription rule that

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

Aromaticity indices, electronic structural properties, and fuzzy atomic space investigations of naphthalene and its aza-derivatives

open access: yesHeliyon, 2021
The aromaticity and CDFT properties of naphthalene and its aza-derivatives were theoretically investigated using density functional theory (DFT) electronic structure method. The reactivity and chemistry of Azanaphthalene (1-AN), 1, 2-diazanaphthalene (1,

Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma Deoxidation of Natively Oxide Layer of Copper Powders in a Fluidized Bed

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

Quantifying Athermality and Quantum Induced Deviations from Classical Fluctuation Relations

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
In recent years, a quantum information theoretic framework has emerged for incorporating non-classical phenomena into fluctuation relations. Here, we elucidate this framework by exploring deviations from classical fluctuation relations resulting from the

Tunneling in the Hydrogen-Transfer Reaction from a Vitamin E Analog to an Inclusion Complex of 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl Radical with β-Cyclodextrin in an Aqueous Buffer Solution at Ambient Temperature

open access: yesAntioxidants, 2021
Recently, increasing attention has been paid to quantum mechanical behavior in biology. In this study, we investigated the involvement of quantum mechanical tunneling in the hydrogen-transfer reaction from Trolox, a water-soluble analog of vitamin E (α ...

Algebraic Quantum Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Algebraic quantum field theory provides a general, mathematically precise description of the structure of quantum field theories, and then draws out consequences of this structure by means of various mathematical tools -- the theory of operator algebras,

Non-relativistic Quantum Mechanics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This essay is a discussion of the philosophical and foundational issues that arise in non-relativistic quantum theory. After introducing the formalism of the theory, I consider: characterizations of the quantum formalism, empirical content, uncertainty ...
