Integrated Photonics for Quantum Information Science [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Optics 2011/Laser Science XXVII, 2011
New components are required to take full advantage of the integrated photonic architecture for Quantum Information science. We demonstrate quantum interference in MMI couplers and two-particle quantum walks in coupled waveguides, showing unique quantum behaviour.

“Potentialities or possibilities”: Towards quantum information science? [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, 2014
The use of quantum concepts and formalisms in the information sciences is assessed through an analysis of published literature. Five categories are identified: use of loose analogies and metaphors between concepts in quantum physics and library/information science; use of quantum concepts and formalisms in information retrieval; use of quantum concepts

Observation of the exceptional point in cavity magnon-polaritons

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Strong coupling between magnons and photons allows coupling of magnongs to qubits, suggesting that magnon-polaritons could find applications in quantum information. Here, Zhang et al.

New Photonic components for Quantum information science [PDF]

open access: yesCLEO:2011 - Laser Applications to Photonic Applications, 2011
Optical quantum technologies require new photonic components to exploit integrated architecture. We demonstrate quantum interference in MMI couplers and coupled waveguides that implement two-particle quantum walks, showing unique quantum behaviour.

Experimental verification of generalized eigenstate thermalization hypothesis in an integrable system

open access: yesLight: Science & Applications, 2022
Identifying the general mechanics behind the equilibration of a complex isolated quantum system towards a state described by only a few parameters has been the focus of attention in non-equilibrium thermodynamics.

Detection of infrared light through stimulated four-wave mixing process

open access: yesFrontiers in Quantum Science and Technology, 2022
Infrared optical measurement has a wide range of applications in industry and science, but infrared light detectors suffer from high costs and inferior performance than visible light detectors.

Universally Optimal Noisy Quantum Walks on Complex Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Transport properties play a crucial role in several fields of science, as biology, chemistry, sociology, information science, and physics. The behavior of many dynamical processes running over complex networks is known to be closely related to the ...

The capacity of the noisy quantum channel [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
An upper limit is given to the amount of quantum information that can be transmitted reliably down a noisy, decoherent quantum channel. A class of quantum error-correcting codes is presented that allow the information transmitted to attain this limit ...

Classical communication enhanced quantum state verification

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information, 2020
Quantum state verification provides an efficient approach to characterize the reliability of quantum devices for generating certain target states. The figure of merit of a specific strategy is the estimated infidelity ϵ of the tested state to the target ...
