Quantum Tomograms and Their Application in Quantum Information Science [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2013
This note is devoted to quantum tomograms application in quantum information science. Representation for quantum tomograms of continuous variables via Feynman path integrals is considered. Due to this construction quantum tomograms of harmonic oscillator are obtained. Application tomograms in causal analysis of quantum states is presented.

“Potentialities or possibilities”: Towards quantum information science? [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, 2014
The use of quantum concepts and formalisms in the information sciences is assessed through an analysis of published literature. Five categories are identified: use of loose analogies and metaphors between concepts in quantum physics and library/information science; use of quantum concepts and formalisms in information retrieval; use of quantum concepts

PATH TO QUANTUM LIFE INFORMATION SCIENCES

open access: yesQuantum Bio-Informatics, 2008
As was explained in the Preface, the center QBIC was founded to seriously attempt a mutual interaction between bio-informatics and quantum information, thereby creating a new field that can be called quantum bio-informatics. The conference of the QBIC-2006 proceeding opens the 5 year program (that may be 8) for this quantum bio--informatics. This

Quantum optics and quantum information science

open access: yesOptics in Computing, 2003
Quantum information science is a rapidly evolving field, and it is still unclear which physical systems will ultimately prove best-suited for the practical implementation of computing and communication technologies. It is quite clear, however, that optical components and methodology will play a central role in the development of quantum communication ...
