Fault-tolerant breathing pattern in optical lattices as a dynamical quantum memory

open access: yes, 2014
Proposals for quantum information processing often require the development of new quantum tech- nologies. However, here we build quantum memory by ultracold atoms in one-dimensional optical lattices with existing state-of-the-art technology.

Experimental Investigation of the Evolution of Gaussian Quantum Discord in an Open System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Gaussian quantum discord is a measure of quantum correlations in Gaussian systems. Using Gaussian discord we quantify the quantum correlations of a bipartite entangled state and a separable two-mode mixture of coherent states.

Study of Free‐Space Optical Quantum Network: Review and Prospectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Free from the constraints of fiber connections, free‐space quantum network enables longer and more flexible quantum network connections. This review summarizes and comparatively analyzes free‐space quantum network experiments based on ground stations, satellites, and mobile platforms.

Renascimento açucareiro: importações de açúcar brasileiro pelo Porto, 1762-1801

open access: yesLer História, 2022
From a set of unpublished data of the sugar trade to Porto (in Portugal), we reconstructed the imports from Brazil in the second half of the eighteenth century, supplying the quantum, taxation and values.

Fractional quantum revivals in the atomic gravitational cavity [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 1995
In this paper we discuss the quantum dynamics and fractional quantum revivals of an integrable nonlinear system, consisting of an atom bouncing vertically from an evanescent field, for two cases with the simplified infinite-potential and the more practical exponential potential, respectively. We study the two cases separately, then contrast and compare

Rational Design of Weakly‐Solvating Molecules for Salt‐In‐Pre‐Ionic‐Liquid Electrolytes for Li Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The weakly‐solvating TFMSPyr electrolyte tailors the Li+ solvation structure by suppressing solvent coordination and promoting anion‐dominated solvation. This unique solvation environment induces preferential anion decomposition at electrode interfaces, forming robust inorganic rich S/CEI.

Fractional recurrence in discrete-time quantum walk

open access: yes, 2010
Quantum recurrence theorem holds for quantum systems with discrete energy eigenvalues and fails to hold in general for systems with continuous energy.

Revivals of quantum wave packets in graphene

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2009
We investigate the propagation of wave-packets on graphene in a perpendicular magnetic field and the appearance of collapses and revivals in the time-evolution of an initially localised wave-packet. The wave-packet evolution in graphene differs drastically from the one in an electron gas and shows a rich revival structure similar to the dynamics of ...

Controlling sudden transition from classical to quantum decoherence via non-equilibrium environments

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
We investigate the freezing and sudden transition in the dynamical behavior of quantum and classical correlations in a system composed of two identical non-interacting qubits locally subjected to their own non-equilibrium environments. In contrast to the
