Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

Ultimate Simulator Many body problems are difficult to model analytically and are often so complex that they cannot be simulated accurately on a classical computer. Because quantum systems can be inherently correlated, it has been proposed that such systems could be used to simulate other complex problems.

QUANTUM-STATISTICAL SIMULATIONS FOR QUANTUM CIRCUITS
International Journal of Modern Physics C, 2002Using a Hubbard–Stratonovich like decomposition technique, we implemented simulations for the quantum circuits of Simon's algorithm for the detection of the periodicity of a function and Shor's algorithm for the factoring of prime numbers on a classical computer.

Characterizing quantum simulations with quantum tomography on a spin quantum simulator
Physical Review A, 2021Developments of quantum techniques have drastically improved the control ability of current quantum processors. Characterizing quantum simulations performed on these processors has become a vital topic in quantum information processing. Traditional characterizing techniques such as quantum process and state tomography fully characterize quantum ...

Here, I summarize the results presented in B. Kraus, Phys. Rev. Lett. 107, 250503 (2011). Recently, it has been shown that certain circuits, the so-called match gate circuits, can be compressed to an exponentially smaller universal quantum computation. We use this result to demonstrate that the simulation of a 1-D Ising chain consisting of n qubits can

This article studies quantum games with imprecise payoffs simulated by means of fuzzy numbers. Three two-person game-types are scrutinized via the iterated confronting of a large number of players laying in a two-dimensional lattice. In every iteration, every player interacts with his nearest neighbours and adopts the strategy of his best paid mate ...

Abstract This chapter covers the introduction of quantum mechanics into computer simulation methods. The chapter begins by explaining how electronic degrees of freedom may be handled in an ab initio fashion and how the resulting forces are included in the classical dynamics of the nuclei.

Simulating quantum computing: Quantum eXpress
Proceedings of the 2003 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (IEEE Cat. No.03EX693), 2004Quantum computing (QC) research has gained a lot of momentum recently due to several theoretical analyses that indicate that QC is significantly more efficient at solving certain classes of problems than classical computing. While experimental validation will ultimately be required, the primitive nature of current QC hardware leaves practical testing ...
