Experimental temporal quantum steering. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2016
AbstractTemporal steering is a form of temporal correlation between the initial and final state of a quantum system. It is a temporal analogue of the famous Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (spatial) steering. We demonstrate, by measuring the photon polarization, that temporal steering allows two parties to verify if they have been interacting with the same ...

Distillation of Quantum Steering [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2020
We show -- both theoretically and experimentally -- that Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen steering can be distilled. We present a distillation protocol that outputs a perfectly correlated system -- the singlet assemblage -- in the asymptotic infinite-copy limit, even for inputs that are arbitrarily close to being unsteerable.

Certified Random Number Generation from Quantum Steering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The ultimate random number generators are those certified to be unpredictable -- including to an adversary. The use of simple quantum processes promises to provide numbers that no physical observer could predict but, in practice, unwanted noise and ...

Genuine High-Dimensional Quantum Steering [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Optics + Laser Science 2021, 2021
We theoretically formalise and experimentally demonstrate a notion of genuine high- dimensional quantum nonlocal steering. We demonstrate steering with a record local dimension of 15 in a 31-dimensional space.

Quantum steering with vector vortex photon states with the detection loophole closed [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Violating a nonlocality inequality enables the most powerful remote quantum information tasks and fundamental tests of quantum physics. Loophole-free photonic verification of nonlocality has been achieved with polarization-entangled photon pairs, but not

Quantum Steering Ellipsoids [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2014
The quantum steering ellipsoid of a two-qubit state is the set of Bloch vectors that Bob can collapse Alice's qubit to, considering all possible measurements on his qubit. We provide an elementary construction of the ellipsoid for arbitrary states, calculate its volume, and explain how this geometric representation can be made faithful.

Quantum steering as a witness of quantum scrambling [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2021
Quantum information scrambling describes the delocalization of local information to global information in the form of entanglement throughout all possible degrees of freedom. A natural measure of scrambling is the tripartite mutual information (TMI), which quantifies the amount of delocalized information for a given quantum channel with its state ...

Quantification of Gaussian Quantum Steering [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2015
Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen steering incarnates a useful nonclassical correlation which sits between entanglement and Bell nonlocality. While a number of qualitative steering criteria exist, very little has been achieved for what concerns quantifying steerability.

Superactivation of quantum steering [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2016
We consider Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen steering in the regime where the parties can perform collective measurements on many copies of a given shared entangled state. We derive a simple and efficient condition for guaranteeing that an entangled state is $k$-copy steerable.

Experimental demonstration of robust quantum steering [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Optics / Laser Science, 2020
We demonstrate quantum steering based on generalised entropies and criteria with minimal assumptions based on the so-called dimension-bounded steering. Further, we investigate their robustness against experimental imperfections such as misalignment in the shared measurement reference-frame.
