Measuring the Rate of Isotropization of Quark-Gluon Plasma Using Rapidity Correlations

We propose that rapidity dependent momentum correlations can be used to extract the shear relaxation time $τ_π$ of the medium formed in high energy nuclear collisions. The stress-energy tensor in an equilibrium quark-gluon plasma is isotropic, but in nuclear collisions it is likely very far from this state.

The study is made in the framework of a multisource thermal model used in the partonic level.

Flavor Hierarchy of Jet Energy Correlators inside the Quark-Gluon Plasma

Heavy flavor jets provide ideal tools to probe the mass effect on jet substructure in both vacuum and quark-gluon plasma. An energy-energy correlator (EEC) is an excellent jet substructure observable owning to its strong sensitivity to jet physics at different scales.

Can charge correlations be used to signal the formation of a quark-gluon plasma?

We investigate short-range charge anticorrelations in nucleus-nucleus collisions whose suppresion could signal the presence of a quark-gluon plasma. We compute the charge correlations under some minimal assumptions about model parameters, and find that the results are not very sensitive to different parameters of the model.
