Direkte Photonen in Schwerionenkollisionen [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Direct photon emission from heavy-ion collisions has been calculated and compared to available experimental data. Three different models have been combined to extract direct photons from different environments in a heavy-ion collision: Thermal photons ...

Probing the Short-Distance Structure of the Quark-Gluon Plasma with Energy Correlators

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters
Energy-energy correlators (EECs) are promising observables to study the dynamics of jet evolution in the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) through its imprint on angular scales in the energy flux of final-state particles. We carry out the first complete calculation of EECs using realistic simulations of high-energy heavy-ion collisions and dissect the different

Measuring the Rate of Isotropization of Quark-Gluon Plasma Using Rapidity Correlations

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 2019
We propose that rapidity dependent momentum correlations can be used to extract the shear relaxation time $τ_π$ of the medium formed in high energy nuclear collisions. The stress-energy tensor in an equilibrium quark-gluon plasma is isotropic, but in nuclear collisions it is likely very far from this state.

On the Square Speed of Sound in High‐Energy Collisions: Range of Values and How to Understand It

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
After reviewing the sound speeds in various forms and conditions of matter, we investigate the sound speed of hadronic matter that has decoupled from the hot and dense system formed during high‐energy collisions. We comprehensively consider factors such as energy loss of the incident beam, rapidity shift of leading nucleons, and the Landau hydrodynamic

Transverse structure of the proton beyond leading twist: A light-front Hamiltonian approach

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
Within the Basis Light-Front Quantization framework, we systematically investigate the subleading twist (twist-3) transverse-momentum-dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs) of the proton beyond the Wandzura-Wilczek (WW) approximation.

Holographic Duals of Symmetry Broken Phases

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 72, Issue 12, December 2024.
Abstract A novel interpretation of Symmetry Topological Field Theories (SymTFTs) as theories of gravity is explored by proposing a holographic duality where the bulk SymTFT (with the gauging of a suitable Lagrangian algebra) is dual to the universal effective field theory (EFT) that describes spontaneous symmetry breaking on the boundary.

Towards an interpretation of the first measurements of energy correlators in the quark-gluon plasma

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
A bstract Energy correlators have recently been proposed as a class of jet substructure observables that directly link experimental measurements of the asymptotic energy flux with the field theoretic description of the underlying microscopic dynamics.

Extracting Kinetic Freeze‐Out Properties in High‐Energy Collisions Using a Multisource Thermal Model

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
We study the transverse momentum (pT) spectra of neutral pions and identified charged hadrons produced in proton–proton (pp), deuteron–gold (d–Au), and gold–gold (Au–Au) collisions at the center of mass energy sNN=200 GeV. The study is made in the framework of a multisource thermal model used in the partonic level.

Hadronic productions of a Higgs boson in association with two jets at next-to-leading order [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We present the calculation of hadronic production of a Higgs boson in association with two jets at next-to-leading order in perturbation theory. We consider amplitudes in an effective theory in which the Higgs couples to gluons in the limit of a large ...
