Quarkonium polarization as a test of non-relativistic effective theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
I compare current approaches to quarkonium production with regard to what they tell us about quarkonium polarization. Predictions for $J/\psi$ polarization in hadron-hadron and photon-hadron collisions are summarized.Comment: 6 pages, LaTeX, 3 figures ...

Heavy quarkonia in a potential model: binding energy, decay width, and survival probability

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2018
Recently a lot of progress has been made in deriving the heavy quark potential within a QCD medium. In this article we have considered heavy quarkonium in a hot quark gluon plasma phase.

Excited Heavy Quarkonium Production via Z^0 Decays at a High Luminosity Collider

open access: yes, 2015
We present a systematic study of the production of the heavy quarkonium, i.e., $|(c\bar{c})[n] \rangle$ , $|(b\bar{c})[n] \rangle$ (or $|(c\bar{b})[n] \rangle$), and $|(b\bar{b})[n] \rangle$ quarkonium [$|(Q\bar{Q'})[n]\rangle$ quarkonium for short ...

Quarkonium transport in weakly and strongly coupled plasmas [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
We report on progress in the nonperturbative understanding of quarkonium dynamics inside a thermal plasma. The time evolution of small-size quarkonium is governed by two-point correlation functions of chromoelectric fields dressed with an adjoint Wilson ...

Quarkonia Disintegration due to time dependence of the $q \bar{q}$ potential in Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions

open access: yes, 2014
Rapid thermalization in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions leads to fast changing potential between a heavy quark and antiquark from zero temperature potential to the finite temperature one.

String Breaking and Quarkonium Dissociation at Finite Temperatures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Recent lattice studies of string breaking in QCD with dynamical quarks determine the in-medium temperature dependence of the heavy quark potential. Comparing this to the binding energies of different quarkonium states, we check if these can decay into ...

Quarkonium Level Spacings

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1977
Motivated by the apparent equal spacing M (ϒ′) - M (ϒ) = M ψi) - M (ψ), we show that the potential for which quarkonium level spacings are independent of quark mass, in the nonrelativistic limit, is V ( r ) = C In ( r / r 0 ). We enumerate consequences of the logarithmic potential and present an alternative interpretation of the data.

Complete NLO QCD study of single- and double-quarkonium hadroproduction in the colour-evaporation model at the Tevatron and the LHC

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
We study the Single-Parton-Scattering (SPS) production of double quarkonia (J/ψ+J/ψ, J/ψ+ϒ, and ϒ+ϒ) in pp and pp¯ collisions at the LHC and the Tevatron as measured by the CMS, ATLAS, LHCb, and D0 experiments in the Colour-Evaporation Model (CEM), based
