Charm Quark Evolution in the Quark–Gluon Plasma with Various Quark Contents

open access: yesPhysics
The production rate of charm quarks in strongly interacting matter is investigated under various conditions, employing the effective quasiparticle framework. This phenomenological approach treats quarks and gluons as quasiparticles with dynamically generated self-energies linked to the medium.

Quark-quark interaction and quark matter in neutron stars [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2022
Hyperon ($Y$) mixing in neutron-star matter brings about a remarkable softening of the equation of state (EoS) and the maximum mass is reduced to a value far less than $2M_{\odot}$. One idea to avoid this "hyperon puzzle in neutron stars" is to assume that the many-body repulsions work universally for every kind of baryons.

Time-dependent study of K S → π + π − decays for flavour physics measurements

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Nowadays High Energy Physics experiments can accumulate unprecedented statistics of heavy flavour decays that allows to apply new methods, based on the study of very rare phenomena, which used to be just desperate.

Spectral function of quarks in quark matter [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2003
We investigate the spectral function of light quarks in infinite quark matter using a simple, albeit self-consistent model. The interactions between the quarks are described by the SU(2) Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model. Currently mean field effects are neglected and all calculations are performed in the chirally restored phase at zero temperature.

Unconventional Mechanisms of Heavy Quark Fragmentation

open access: yesUniverse, 2023
Heavy and light quarks produced in high-pT partonic collisions radiate differently. Heavy quarks regenerate their color field, stripped-off in the hard reaction, much faster than the light ones and radiate a significantly smaller fraction of the initial ...

Quark propagation in the quark-gluon plasma [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2004
It has recently been suggested that the quark-gluon plasma formed in heavy-ion collisions behaves as a nearly ideal fluid. That behavior may be understood if the quark and antiquark mean-free- paths are very small in the system, leading to a "sticky molasses" description of the plasma, as advocated by the Stony Brook group.

Top quark decays into heavy quark mesons [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1996
For top quark decays into heavy quark mesons $Υ$ and $\bar{B}_c^*$ , a complete calculation to the leading order both in QCD coupling constant $α_s$ and in $v$, the typical velocity of the heavy quarks inside the mesons, is performed. Relatons between the top quark mass and the decay branching ratios are studied.
