For any given integer $k\geq 2$ we prove the existence of infinitely many $q$ and characters $ \chi\pmod q$ of order $k$, such that $|L(1,\chi)|\geq (e^{\gamma}+o(1))\log\log q$. We believe this bound to be best possible.

ABSTRACT In this paper, we shall be concerned with the development, application, and numerical analysis of the monolithic Newton‐Multigrid finite element method (FEM) to simulate thixoviscoplastic (TVP) flows. We demonstrate the importance of robustness and efficiency of Newton‐Multigrid FEM solver for obtaining accurate solutions.

Variational approach to multimode nonlinear optical fibers
Abstract We analyze the spatiotemporal solitary waves of a graded‐index multimode optical fiber with a parabolic transverse index profile. Using the nonpolynomial Schrödinger equation approach, we derive an effective one‐dimensional Lagrangian associated with the Laguerre–Gauss modes with a generic radial mode number p and azimuthal index m.
