Medium‐Entropy Engineering of Magnetism in Layered Antiferromagnet CuxNi2(1‐x)CrxP2S6
This study explores the aliovalent substitution strategy with Cu and Cr replacing Ni in Ni₂P₂S₆ compounds to engineer magnetism. By creating CuxNi2(1‐x)CrxP2S6 medium‐entropy alloys, the research reveals the evolution of distinct magnetic phases, including the creation of weak ferromagnetism in intermediate compositions.

Possible robust insulator-superconductor transition on solid inert gas and other substrates [PDF]
We present observations of the insulator-superconductor transition in ultrathin films of Bi on amorphous quartz, quartz coated with Ge, and for the first time, solid xenon condensed on quartz. The relative permeability $\epsilon_r$ ranges from 1.5 for Xe to 15 for Ge.

We point out that contrary to a recent suggestion by Boero et al. (PRL 78, 887 (1997)) the +1 charge state of the oxygen vacancy in alpha-quartz cannot be invoked as a candidate E' center in alpha-quartz and silica.
