Frequency Behavior of Quartz Crystal Microbalance In Contact With Selected Solutions [PDF]
This thesis investigated the interfacial behavior of some selected solutions in contact with one surface of Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM). A device was constructed to monitor viscosity of solutions using fundamental frequency of 9 MHz and 10 MHz ...

Atomic layer deposition and superconducting properties of NbSi films
Atomic layer deposition was used to synthesize niobium silicide (NbSi) films with a 1:1 stoichiometry, using NbF5 and Si2H6 as precursors. The growth mechanism at 200oC was examined by in-situ quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) and quadrupole mass ...

Triblock Polymer Engineering Enables Hydration‐Rich, High‐Performance, Fouling‐Resistant Interfaces
A molecularly engineered triblock polymer (PHZ) rapidly reorganizes into a hydration‐rich interfacial layer on diverse surfaces, strongly suppressing hydrophobic attraction and fouling. The triblock polymer provides robust energy and steric barriers to oily foulants, enabling high‐performance antifouling at ultralow dosage.

OGO-6 gas-surface energy transfer experiment [PDF]
The kinetic energy flux of the upper atmosphere was analyzed using OGO-6 data. Energy transfer between 10 microwatts/sq cm and 0.1 W/sq cm was measured by short-term frequency changes of temperature-sensitive quartz crystals used in the energy transfer ...

On-line monitoring of parylene film deposition with quartz crystal microbalance (QCM)
AbstractThe parylene is a polymer of p-xylene and it is polymerized by pyrolysis of the parylene dimer called di-p-xylene. Until now the thickness of parylene has been controlled by adjusting the amount of the parylene dimer. However, the parylene film is required of more accurate and reproducible control method.

ABSTRACT Capturing proteins is easy since their amphiphilic nature allows them to bind to almost any surface. Because of this, releasing them is challenging since various interactions need to be considered for this. We present a simple method to reversibly adsorb proteins on stabilized electrodes.

A Comparison of Quartz Crystal Microbalance Measurements with Mass Spectrometer Determinations [PDF]
An experimental program was undertaken in which mass accretion rates, as determined by a liquid nitrogen cooled quartz crystal microbalance, were compared with the mass flux rates, as determined by both a cycloidal type and a quadrupole type residual gas

APPLICAZIONI BIOLOGICHE DEI RISONATORI AL QUARZO A ONDE ELASTICHE TRASVERSALI [PDF]
I risonatori al quarzo a onde elastiche trasversali – usualmente identificati con la sigla QCM (dall’inglese Quartz Crystal Microbalance) o indicati, meno comunemente, con l’acronimo TSMR (dall’inglese Thickness Shear Mode Resonators) – costituiscono ...

We show that interfacial oxygen at the MgO/Fe interface can be transformed from an uncontrolled variable into a tunable design parameter for spintronic junctions. Momentum microscopy provides direct access to the momentum‐ and spin‐resolved electronic structure beneath the insulating MgO layers, revealing how oxygen intercalation reshapes buried Fe ...
