Porphyrin thin films coated quartz crystal microbalances prepared by electropolymerization technique
Thin Solid Films, 1999Quartz crystal microbalances (QMB) have been coated by thin films of different metal complexes of protoporphyrin IX dimethyl ester (M-PPIX), deposited by electropolymerization technique. The structure of these films has been characterized by scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM).

Detection of human fibrin by immunological piezoelectric quartz crystal microbalance technique
Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences, 1997The detection of human fibrin has been performed by immunological piezoelectric quartz crystal microbalance technique. Anti-fibrin antibody was immobilized onto the gold electrodes of a 9 MHz AT-cut piezoelectric quartz crystal with bovine serum albumin adsorption, followed by glutaraldehyde cross-linking.

The rapidly growing field of phosphoproteomics has led to a strong demand for procedures enabling fast and reliable isolation and enrichment of phosphorylated proteins and peptides. During the past decade, several novel phosphopeptide enrichment methods based on the affinity of phosphoryl groups for titanium dioxide (TiO(2)) have been developed and ...

Owing to the complex influences of several experimental conditions on the in vitro alteration of blood, there is still a lack of viable in vitro tests and methods for blood compatibility evaluation of biomaterials. The aim of this research was to study a new approach for the haemocompatibility assessment of differently modified PET surfaces using the ...

We report an experimental investigation of the adsorption properties of two important small-pore metal–organic framework (MOF) materials recently identified for gas separation applications, through the development and use of a high-pressure/high-temperature quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) device. In particular, we characterize in detail the CO2, CH4,

A quartz crystal microbalance technique to study wax crystallization in the presence of gas
Measurement Science and Technology, 2008A quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) was designed to measure the melting temperature in the presence of gas under high pressure. The capacity of the experimental technique to determine the liquid–solid as well as the solid–solid transitions was first tested by measuring the phase transition temperatures of several pure n-alkanes from n-C19 to n-C30 ...

Quartz-Crystal Microbalance Technique for the Preparation of Alkali-Antimonide Photocathodes
Journal of Applied Physics, 1968A quartz-crystal microbalance technique has been developed which measures the chemical composition of an alkali-antimonide film during photocathode formation at the normal photocathode processing temperatures. It is possible to measure continuously and simultaneously the chemical composition, photoelectric emission, resistance, and optical transmission

Solubility of carbon dioxide in polymers by the quartz crystal microbalance technique
The Journal of Supercritical Fluids, 1998The use of a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) has been demonstrated to be an accurate and relatively easy technique to measure gas solubility in polymers at high pressures. The technique is reversible and could be used for real-time monitoring of a process.

In-situ monitoring technique for growth of CdS layer by quartz crystal microbalance
2008 33rd IEEE Photovolatic Specialists Conference, 2008Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) was applied to chemical bath deposition (CBD) process to improve the controllability of the CdS deposition and to get more reproducible results. The frequency change measured by QCM during CdS deposition process was turned out to have linear relationship with thickness of the CdS thin films, while the traditional ...
