Supermassive black hole quasar remnants

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1998
Studies of the cosmic X-ray background indicate that it arises mainly from accretion powered AGNs and that the present-epoch mass density in the form of supermassive black holes must be at least an order of magnitude more than represented by currently active Seyfert galactic nuclei.

Dependence of the spins of supermassive black holes in quasars on their cosmological redshifts

Astronomy Reports, 2015
Data on the dependences of the masses and bolometric luminosities of Active Galactic Nuclei on their cosmological redshifts are used to determine the redshift dependences of their X-ray luminosities and the kinetic powers of their relativistic jets.
