ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of problem‐posing on the mathematical proficiency and engagement of 56 Developmental Mathematics (DM) students enrolled in a noncredit college mathematics course. Using a quasi‐experimental design, one of two existing classes was selected as the experimental group and received a 5‐week intervention focused on

Quasi-Toroidal Oscillations in Rotating Relativistic Stars
Quasi-toroidal oscillations in slowly rotating stars are examined in the framework of general relativity. The oscillation frequency to first order of the rotation rate is not a single value even for uniform rotation unlike the Newtonian case.

Rational points on even‐dimensional Fermat cubics
Abstract We show that even‐dimensional Fermat cubic hypersurfaces are rational over any field of characteristic not equal to three, by constructing explicit rational parameterizations with polynomials of low degree. As a byproduct of our rationality constructions, we obtain estimates for the number of their rational points over a number field and ...

Over the past 60 years, noticeable changes have been observed in the main hydroclimatological variables, driven by both natural and anthropogenic factors. In the context of climate change, such behaviour may adversely affect the state's economic activities, as well as increase the recurrence of extreme events in the region.

Solid Mechanics Segregated Solver Acceleration With Jacobian‐Free Newton‐Krylov
ABSTRACT The segregated algorithm is a common approach for finite volumes solvers in solid mechanics, providing a memory‐efficient and straightforward implementation. Due to the inter‐coupling of the components through the source terms, it suffers from a slow convergence behavior in specific scenarios, such as geometries with significantly uneven ...

The delay between the rapid cooling of photoexcited electron‐hole pairs (∼1 ps) and the slower FRET excitation process of band‐edge excitons (∼1 ns) enables the surface trap states of acceptor quantum dots to slow down the relaxation of FRET‐excited states induced by donor quantum dots, leading to a typical 400% enhancement of acceptor exciton lifetime.

We present a large‐area bidirectional human–machine interface integrating electrostatic multimodal tactile sensing with a dual‐resonant haptic actuator. The system enables linear pressure sensing that is decoupled from actuation and stable broadband vibrotactile feedback under dynamic contact conditions, supporting real‐time feedback modulation aligned
