Faraday rotators using permanently magnetized ferrite materials are used to make quasi-optical isolators and circulators at millimeter wave and sub-millimeter wave frequencies that have far higher performance than their waveguide equivalents.

Abstract Electrification of distillation offers a promising route to reducing scope‐1 emissions from one of the chemical industry's most energy‐intensive unit operations. However, conventional adiabatic columns are dynamically inflexible: Long, energy‐intensive start‐ups make shutdown and restart impractical under variable electricity prices and ...

Chern-Simons theory, Ehrhart polynomials, and representation theory
The Hilbert space of level q Chern-Simons theory of gauge group G of the ADE type quantized on T 2 can be represented by points that lie on the weight lattice of the Lie algebra g up to some discrete identifications.

Pentapartitioned neutrosophic quasi coincident topological space
This chapter develops a novel topological framework for pentapartitioned neutrosophic sets (PPNSs) through the introduction of the concept of pentapartitioned neutrosophic quasi-coincidence between pentapartitioned neutrosophic sets and pentapartitioned neutrosophic points (PPNPs).

Sunto L'articolo è una difesa dell'attualità della logica aristotelica che intende sostenere che l'argomento che Aristotele offre per dimostrare che il principio di non contraddizione è una condizione necessaria del pensiero, può essere letto come un argomento trascendentale.

Flow characteristics and regime transitions in fluidization systems of Group C+ particles
Abstract Fine and ultrafine particles are attractive for fluidized bed reactors because their high surface area benefits catalytic processes, but their cohesive nature complicates regime characterization. Nanoparticle modulation improves the flowability of Group C powders, yet their bubbling to turbulent transition remains unclear.

In this research, a paradigm of parameter estimation method for pneumatic soft hand control is proposed. The method includes the following: 1) sampling harmonic damping waves, 2) applying pseudo‐rigid body modeling and the logarithmic decrement method, and 3) deriving position and force control.

A critical step, dry reforming of methane (DRM) converts biogas into useful syngas. Yet trace H2S in biogas rapidly poisons DRM catalysts, limiting practical use. We developed a robust Pt/CeO2 catalyst sustaining DRM activity via CO2‐induced reverse lattice oxygen spillover in H2S‐rich environments.

Optimizing 3D Bin Packing of Heterogeneous Objects Using Continuous Transformations in SE(3)
This article presents a method for solving the three‐dimensional bin packing problem for heterogeneous objects using continuous rigid‐body transformations in SE(3). A heuristic optimization framework combines signed‐distance functions, neural network approximations, point‐cloud bin modeling, and physics simulation to ensure feasibility and stability ...

Nanographene‐Based van der Waals Organic Framework With Permanent Porosity
Unlocking record‐breaking porosity in a supramolecular organic framework (SOF). Through the strategic design of a C3‐symmetric nanographene, a robust supramolecular framework is achieved via exclusively weak van der Waals forces. This metal‐free scaffold reaches a benchmark BET surface area of 1108 m2 g−1 –the highest to date for this class–combining ...
