Quantum Quasi-Cyclic LDPC Codes [PDF]
In this paper, a construction of a pair of "regular" quasi-cyclic LDPC codes as ingredient codes for a quantum error-correcting code is proposed. That is, we find quantum regular LDPC codes with various weight distributions. Furthermore our proposed codes have lots of variations for length, code rate. These codes are obtained by a descrete mathematical

Energy efficient implementation of multi-phase quasi-adiabatic Cyclic Redundancy Check in near field communication [PDF]
Ultra-low power operation in power-limited portable devices (e.g. cell phone and smartcard) is paramount. Existing conventional CMOS consume high energy. The adiabatic logic technique has the potential of rendering energy efficient operation.

Construction of quasi-cyclic self-dual codes [PDF]
There is a one-to-one correspondence between ℓ-quasi-cyclic codes over a finite field F q and linear codes over a ring R=F q[Y]/(Y m-1). Using this correspondence, we prove that every ℓ-quasi-cyclic self-dual code of length mℓ over a finite field F q can

Lower Bound on the Minimum Distance of Single-Generator Quasi-Twisted Codes
We recall a classic lower bound on the minimum Hamming distance of constacyclic codes over finite fields, analogous to the well-known BCH bound for cyclic codes.

Background Intraoperative proximal femoral fractures (IPFF) are relevant complications during total hip arthroplasty. Fixation using cerclage wires (CW) represents a minimally-invasive technique to address these fractures through the same surgical ...

Quasi-static cyclic tests of two U-shaped RC walls under diagonal loading [PDF]
Reinforced concrete core walls are often used to provide horizontal stiffness and strength to mid- or high-rise buildings. The design practice is, however, largely based on findings from tests and analysis of rectangular walls subjected to uni ...

Quasi-Cyclic LDPC Codes of Column-Weight Two Using a Search Algorithm
This article introduces a search algorithm for constructing quasi-cyclic LDPC codes of column-weight two. To obtain a submatrix structure, rows are divided into groups of equal sizes.

On the generalised rank weights of quasi-cyclic codes [PDF]
Generalised rank weights were formulated in analogy to Wei's generalised Hamming weights, but for the rank metric. In this paper we study the generalised rank weights of quasi-cyclic codes, a special class of linear codes usually studied for their ...

Performance-Based Fibre Design for Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC)
The paper presents a method to establish a performance-based fibre design of high-strength micro steel fibres for ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). The performance-based fibre design considers effects of fibre layout, fibre orientation, and type of

On complementary-dual quasi-cyclic codes
A linear code with a complementary dual (an LCD code) is a linear code \(C\) whose dual \(C^ \perp\) satisfies \(C\cap C^ \perp= \{0\}\). Necessary and sufficient conditions for a cyclic code be an LCD code were given by \textit{X. Yang} and \textit{J. L. Massey} [Discrete Math. 126, No. 1--3, 391--393 (1994; Zbl 0790.94022)].
