Routhian reduction for quasi-invariant Lagrangians [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper we describe Routhian reduction as a special case of standard symplectic reduction, also called Marsden-Weinstein reduction. We use this correspondence to present a generalization of Routhian reduction for quasi-invariant Lagrangians, i.e ...

Lower Bound on the Minimum Distance of Single-Generator Quasi-Twisted Codes

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
We recall a classic lower bound on the minimum Hamming distance of constacyclic codes over finite fields, analogous to the well-known BCH bound for cyclic codes.

On the codes over the Z_3+vZ_3+v^2Z_3

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we study the structure of cyclic, quasi-cyclic, constacyclic codes and their skew codes over the finite ring R=Z_3+vZ_3+v^2Z_3, v^3=v. The Gray images of cyclic, quasi-cyclic, skew cyclic, skew quasi-cyclic and skew constacyclic codes over

On complementary-dual quasi-cyclic codes

open access: yesFinite Fields and Their Applications, 2009
A linear code with a complementary dual (an LCD code) is a linear code \(C\) whose dual \(C^ \perp\) satisfies \(C\cap C^ \perp= \{0\}\). Necessary and sufficient conditions for a cyclic code be an LCD code were given by \textit{X. Yang} and \textit{J. L. Massey} [Discrete Math. 126, No. 1--3, 391--393 (1994; Zbl 0790.94022)].

Performance-Based Fibre Design for Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC)

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
The paper presents a method to establish a performance-based fibre design of high-strength micro steel fibres for ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). The performance-based fibre design considers effects of fibre layout, fibre orientation, and type of

Quasi-cyclic Codes of Index 1.5

open access: yesCoRR, 2015
We introduce quasi-cyclic codes of index 1.5, construct such codes in terms of polynomials and matrices; and prove that the quasi-cyclic codes of index 1.5 are asymptotically good.

Undrained heating effects on monotonic shear behaviors and critical cyclic stress ratios of deep-sea sediment

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2023
A series of temperature-controlled triaxial tests are conducted on the deep-sea sediment from the Western trough of the South China Sea. The undrained heating effects on undrained shear strength, pore pressure and critical cyclic stress ratio are ...

New cubic self-dual codes of length 54, 60 and 66

open access: yes, 2017
We study the construction of quasi-cyclic self-dual codes, especially of binary cubic ones. We consider the binary quasi-cyclic codes of length 3\ell with the algebraic approach of [9]. In particular, we improve the previous results by constructing 1 new

Efficient One-Time Signatures from Quasi-Cyclic Codes: A Full Treatment

open access: yesCryptogr., 2018
The design of a practical code-based signature scheme is an open problem in post-quantum cryptography. This paper is the full version of a work appeared at SIN’18 as a short paper, which introduced a simple and efficient one-time secure signature scheme ...

Some results on quasi-cyclic codes

open access: yesInformation and Control, 1969
Summary: In this paper a class of linear error-correcting block codes is investigated. These quasicyclic codes are closely related in structure to cyclic codes although they are not nearly as well understood. It is shown that an important subclass of the class of cyclic codes is almost equivalent to quasicyclic codes.
