Quasi-cyclic asymptotically regular LDPC codes [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE Information Theory Workshop, 2010
Families of "asymptotically regular" LDPC block code ensembles can be formed by terminating (J,K)-regular protograph-based LDPC convolutional codes. By varying the termination length, we obtain a large selection of LDPC block code ensembles with varying code rates, minimum distance that grows linearly with block length, and capacity approaching ...

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Generalised rank weights of quasi-cyclic codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Generalised rank weights are a set of parameters characterising the performance of a linear code over Fqm in secure network coding. In this report we study the generalised rank weights of quasi-cyclic codes, a special class of linear codes usually ...

Recycling of NiTi Shape Memory Alloys: Fundamental and Technological Aspects of a Vacuum Induction Melting Processing Route

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

Applied quasi-cyclic LDPC codes from doubly-extended RS code and cyclic MDS code

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2008
Based on doubly-extended RS codes and cyclic MDS codes, two construction schemes were proposed for ap-plied quasi-cyclic LDPC codes whose Tanner graph is free of 4-cycles.In the first approach, all the nonzero codewords within a doubly-extended RS code ...

DFT domain characterization of quasi-cyclic codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The transform domain characterization of linear cyclic codes over finite fields using Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) over an appropriate extension field is well known.

Some new binary, quasi-cyclic codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
By means of local search techniques, five quasi-cyclic codes have been found that have a higher minimum distance than known binary linear codes. The new codes have parameters [102,17,37], [60,20,17], [84,21,27], [105,21,36], and [100,25,30].

Molecular Dynamics Studies of Shape Memory Polymers: From Bead–Spring Models to Atomistic Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

New results on binary quasi-cyclic codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Twelve new binary quasi-cyclic codes, which improve the lower bounds on minimum distances for binary linear codes, are presented, and a Web database on best-known binary quasi-cyclic codes is constructed for public ...
