Operator norms of Gauss-Weierstrass operators and their left quasi interpolants [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai Matematica, 2019
The paper deals with the Gau\ss --Weierstra\ss\ operators $W_{n}$ and their left quasi interpolants $W_{n}^{\left[ r\right] }$. The quasi interpolants were defined by Paul Sablonni\`{e}re in 2014. Recently, their asymptotic behaviour was studied by Octavian Agratini, Radu P\u{a}lt\u{a}nea and the author by presenting complete asymptotic expansions.

Stability results on interpolation scales of quasi-Banach spaces and applications

open access: yes, 1997
We investigate stability of Fredholm properties on interpolation scales of quasi-Banach spaces.

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Multipatch Approximation of the de Rham Sequence and its Traces in Isogeometric Analysis

open access: yes, 2019
We define a conforming B-spline discretisation of the de Rham complex on multipatch geometries. We introduce and analyse the properties of interpolation operators onto these spaces which commute w.r.t. the surface differential operators.

Trivariate near-best blending spline quasi-interpolation operators

open access: yesNumerical Algorithms, 2017
This paper deals with the construction of trivariate quasi-interpolation operators based on the blending of univariate B-spline and bivariate box-spline quasi-interpolation operators. The proposed quasi-interpolation method can be used for building non-discrete models from discrete data on volumetric grids, as required, for example, in scientific ...

A New Threshold Switching Device With Tunable Negative Differential Resistance Based on ErMnO3 Polymorphs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

On the convergence of the hp-BEM with quasi-uniform meshes for the electric field integral equation on polyhedral surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper the hp-version of the boundary element method is applied to the electric field integral equation on a piecewise plane (open or closed) Lipschitz surface. The underlying meshes are supposed to be quasi-uniform.

The hp-BEM with quasi-uniform meshes for the electric field integral equation on polyhedral surfaces: a priori error analysis

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents an a priori error analysis of the hp-version of the boundary element method for the electric field integral equation on a piecewise plane (open or closed) Lipschitz surface. We use H(div)-conforming discretisations with Raviart-Thomas

A kind of Bernoulli-type quasi-interpolation operator with univariate multiquadrics [PDF]

open access: yesComputational & Applied Mathematics, 2010
In this paper, a kind of Bernoulli-type operator is proposed by combining a univariate multiquadric quasi-interpolation operator with the generalized Taylor polynomial. With an assumption on the shape-preserving parameter c, the convergence rate of the new operator is derived, which indicates that it could produce the desired precision.

Abel–Goncharov Type Multiquadric Quasi-Interpolation Operators with Higher Approximation Order [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
A kind of Abel–Goncharov type operators is surveyed. The presented method is studied by combining the known multiquadric quasi-interpolant with univariate Abel–Goncharov interpolation polynomials. The construction of new quasi-interpolants ℒ m
