A Comparison Between Quasi-Z-Source Inverter and Active Quasi-Z-Source Inverter
2019 10th International Conference on Power Electronics and ECCE Asia (ICPE 2019 - ECCE Asia), 2019This paper presents some comparative results between the three-phase quasi-Z source inverter (qZSI)and active quasi-Z source inverter (AqZSI). An improved PWM method is proposed for AqZSI. The voltage gain can be increased by using the shoot-through duty cycle and the switching ratio of the additional switch.

2008 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2008
In this paper, theoretical results are shown for several novel inverters. These inverters are similar to the Z-source inverters presented in previous works, but have several advantages, including in some combination; lower component ratings, reduced source stress, reduced component count and simplified control strategies.

Tapped inductor quasi-Z-source inverter
2012 Twenty-Seventh Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2012This paper proposes a high inversion gain single stage boost inverter, which introduces a tapped inductor network into the traditional quasi-Z-source inverter (qZSI), called tapped inductor quasi-Z-source inverter (TL-qZSI). The tapped inductor network including one tapped inductor and two diodes and is used to replace one inductor of the traditional ...

Simplified quasi‐Z source indirect matrix converter
International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2014SummaryConventional matrix converters have a limited voltage gain less than 0.866 and also require many power switches and additional input filter that ensures a low input current harmonics to the grid. Quasi‐Z source (qZS) indirect matrix converter can provide high voltage gain and ensure a sinusoidal input current without additional input filter ...

New capacitor assisted quasi Z-source inverter
IECON 2017 - 43rd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2017In this paper, a new quasi Z-source inverter based on new capacitor basic units (CAQZSI) is proposed. It is possible to develop the proposed topology by using n numbers of the basic units that is one of the main advantages of the proposed CAQZSI. The boost factor equation, voltage and current equations of the capacitors, diodes and inductors are ...

Switched-Coupled-Inductor Quasi-Z-Source Inverter
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2016Z-source inverters have become a research hotspot because of their single-stage buck–boost inversion ability, and better immunity to EMI noises. However, their boost gains are limited, because of higher component-voltage stresses and poor output power quality, which results from the tradeoff between the shoot-through interval and the modulation index ...

Three-phase quasi-Z-source rectifier modeling
2012 Twenty-Seventh Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2012A quasi-Z-source three-phase rectifier is analysed by deriving its detailed dynamic model using circuit averaging and the synchronous reference frame. The quasi-Z-source provides the same advantages as the Z-source rectifier as well as additional advantages such lower rated capacitors.

PWAM controlled quasi-Z source motor drive
2017 IEEE 26th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2017This paper proposes a novel pulse-width-amplitude-modulation (PWAM) method for three-phase quasi-Z source inverter system in motor drive application. It is demonstrated that it operates at only 1/3 switching frequency of traditional PWM methods, with less harmonic distortion.

New High-frequency Isolated Quasi-Z-source Inverter
2020 Chinese Automation Congress (CAC), 2020In order to make up for the shortcomings of traditional Z-source and quasi-Z-source inverter, such as weak boosting capacity, large capacitor voltage stress, and electrical isolation on the input and output sides, this paper proposes a new high-frequency isolated quasi-Z-source inverter circuit topology.
