Acoustic noise radiated by PWM-controlled induction machine drives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
This paper investigates the acoustic noise radiated from two nominally identical induction motors when fed from sinusoidal, and asymmetric regular sampling subharmonic and space-vector pulsewidth modulation (PWM) converters.

Dual-Source Bidirectional Quasi-Z-Source Inverter Development for Off-Road Electric Vehicles

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal, 2022
In this paper, a battery pack and a supercapacitor bank hybrid energy storage system (HESS) with a new control configuration is proposed for electric vehicles (EVs). A bidirectional quasi-Z-source inverter (Bq-ZSI) and a bidirectional DC-DC converter are

Quasi‐Z based adaptive sliding mode control for three‐phase photovoltaic grid‐connected system

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2023
Considering the non‐linear characteristics of both the input and output of photovoltaic (PV) modules and quasi‐Z‐source inverters, as well as the unpredictable natural factors such as large disturbances caused by changes in illumination and temperature ...

Design and Control of a Quasi-Z Source Multilevel Inverter Using a New Reaching Law-Based Sliding Mode Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The rapid growth in renewable energies has given rise to their integration into the grid system. These renewable and clean energy sources are dependent on external conditions such as wind speed, solar irradiation, and temperature. For a stable connection

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

In‐Situ Solution Complexation for n‐Type Surface‐Energetics Reconstruction in 2.0 eV Ultra‐Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reactive in situ solution complexation strategy reconstructs the surface of 2.0 eV ultra‐wide‐bandgap perovskites via proton transfer. This chemical modulation eliminates metallic defects and induces a degenerate‐like n‐type surface, establishing an Ohmic tunneling contact.

Improved vector selection model predictive control strategy for quasi‐Z‐source inverter virtual synchronous generator grid‐connected system

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering
Conventional inverter control methods reduce the grid inertia and are susceptible to parameter variations, resulting in a gradual weakening of grid stability.

Integration of an Active Filter and a Single-Phase AC/DC Converter with Reduced Capacitance Requirement and Component Count [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Existing methods of incorporating an active filter into an AC/DC converter for eliminating electrolytic capacitors usually require extra power switches. This inevitably leads to an increased system cost and degraded energy efficiency.
