CHARACTERIZATIONS OF FRAME QUASI-UNIFORMITIES
Quaestiones Mathematicae, 1993Abstract This paper advances an entourage-like theory of quasi-uniformities for frames by establishing that the theory comprises the classical theory of quasi-uniform spaces and is, in the setting of biframes, equivalent to J.L. Frith's theory of covering quasi-uniformities.

The semicontinuous quasi-uniformity of a frame, revisited [PDF]
In this note we present a new treatment of the pointfree version of the semicontinuous quasi-uniformity based on the new tool of the ring of arbitrary (not necessarily continuous) real-valued functions made available recently by J. Gutiérrez García, T. Kubiak and J. Picado [13]. Our purpose is to show how the basic facts about the semicontinuous quasi-

Completion of Quasi-Uniform Frames
Applied Categorical Structures, 1999In the study of quasi-uniform frames there has been a division between those favoring covering quasi-uniformities and those preferring entourage quasi-uniformities. It seems to be emerging from the paper under review and [The Samuel compactification of a quasi-uniform frame, Topology Proc. 23 (to appear)] that both points of view are valuable.

Quasi-Biorthogonal Frame Multiresolution Analyses and Wavelets
Advances in Computational Mathematics, 2003Let \(T_kf(x)=f(x-k)\) and \(Df(x)=2^{1/2}f(2x)\). Two frame multiresolution analyses \(\{V_j\}_{j\in\mathbb{Z}}\) and \(\{\widetilde{V}_j\}_{j\in\mathbb{Z}}\) are said to be quasi-biorthogonal if their corresponding scaling functions \(\varphi, \widetilde{\varphi}\) satisfy the equations \[ \varphi =\sum \langle \varphi, T_k\widetilde{\varphi}\rangle ...

Quasi SV-frames and their properties
Quaestiones Mathematicae, 2021Let P be a prime ideal of the ring of continuous real-valued functions on a completely regular frame L, i.e., RL. We study many new results about the residue class domains RL=P with an emphasis on determining when the ordered RL=P is a valuation domain (i.e., when given any two non-zero elements of RL=P, one divides the other). A prime ideal P of

Refinable Function-Based Construction of Weak (Quasi-)Affine Bi-Frames
Journal of Fourier Analysis and Applications, 2014This paper introduces a notion of weak (quasi)-affine bi-frames in (1.8) by replacing the unconditional convergence in the definition of an affine bi-frame with a weaker notion of convergence in (1.8) for the scale index. Under the Assumptions 1--3, for affine bi-frames derived from refinable functions, the authors show that the condition in (1.17) of ...

Quasi-symmetric designs and equiangular tight frames
SPIE Proceedings, 2015An equiangular tight frame (ETF) is an M×N matrix which has orthogonal equal norm rows, equal norm columns, and the inner products of all pairs of columns have the same modulus. ETFs arise in numerous applications, including compressed sensing. They also seem to be rare: despite over a decade of active research by the community, only a few construction
