Probably, approximately useful frames of mind: A quasi-algorithmic approach

Behavioral and Brain Sciences, 2022
Abstract Frames for interpreting situations are necessary in the face of time constraints for action and indeterminacy of the “right or optimal thing to do” given multiple objectives but not all frames are equally useful. We need a way of modeling representational frames according to the informational gain of using them and the computational cost of

Directional Inextensible Flows of Curves by Quasi Frame

Journal of Advanced Physics, 2018
In this paper, we construct a new method for directional inextensible flows of curves using the q-frame. With this new concept, we derive the necessary and sufficient condition for the given curve to be the inextensible flow. Moreover, we give some new characterizations for curvatures of a curve. Finally, we obtain new relations of q-frame in space.

Quasi-light-cone frame and approximate galilean symmetries

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1976
By introducing a modification in the light-cone co-ordinate frame (ordinary and Bell and Ruegg’s), an approximate Galilean symmetry appears which leads to the calculation of higher-order terms in the nonrelativistic limit of the Dirac and Klein-Gordon equations (i.e. the Schrodinger-Pauli equations).

Quasi single-frame measurements with phase-stepped ESPI

Optics and Lasers in Engineering, 2019
Abstract Phase-stepped ESPI measurement techniques typically require the acquisition of sets of speckle images before and after specimen deformation. This process limits the use of the technique to quasi-static specimens. A novel technique is proposed here where speckle images are measured in a continuous phase-stepped sequence and where ...

Generalized Riesz Transforms, Quasi-Monogenic Functions and Frames

2019
Monogenic functions can be extended to quasi-monogenic functions using Fourier multipliers. It turns out that the whole class of quasi-monogenic signals has similar properties than the monogenic signal based on the Riesz transforms. Quasi-monogenic Riesz transforms can be used to construct frames.

A Characterization of Curves with respect to Quasi frame in E^3

2023
In this study, we consider a unit speed reguler curve with respect to linear combination of its Quasi frame vectors. We use the curvature functions m₀, m₁ and m₂ while obtaining its position vector and classify the constant ratio curves. Moreover, we yield some consequences about T- constant type and N- constant type curves according to ...
