High Ionic Conduction in Rb- and Cs-Mixed Cation Amide for Energy Storage. [PDF]

open access: yesSmall
A mixed cation‐amide solid solution, Rb0.5Cs0.5NH2, based on the interaction between RbNH2‐ and CsNH2, has been developed. The Rb⁺/Cs⁺ cationic substitution leads to structural stabilization, resulting in high ionic conductivity in the Rb0.5Cs0.5NH2 compared to the single compounds.

Identifying the Spin-Incoherent Contribution to Quasielastic Neutron Scattering with a Cold Triple-Axis Spectrometer

open access: yesQuantum Beam Science, 2023
Polarisation analysis for neutron scattering experiments is a powerful tool suitable for a wide variety of studies, including soft-matter samples which have no bulk magnetic behaviour and/or a significant hydrogen content.

Dynamics of water within Cu-loaded zeolites: A quasielastic neutron scattering study

open access: yesCatalysis Communications, 2022
Quasielastic Neutron Scattering (QENS) was employed in order to probe the dynamics of water confined within copper-loaded MOR, MFI and CHA zeolite frameworks in the temperature range 100–300 K.

Impact of composition on the crystal texture and on the dynamics of P(THF-co-ECH) copolymers [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2022
We present a combined study by quasielastic neutron scattering (QENS), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) on poly(tetrahydrofuran-co-epichlorohydrin) copolymers, to see how their composition can be used to tune

Dynamics–Function Correlation in Photosystem II: Molecular Dynamics in Solution

open access: yesCrystals, 2023
A detailed comprehension of protein function requires information on the spatial structure of the protein, which is often gathered from X-ray crystallography.

Introduction to Quasielastic Neutron Scattering [PDF]

open access: yesZeitschrift für Physikalische Chemie, 2010
Abstract This tutorial introduction has been written for people who are not specialized in neutron scattering or in other scattering methods but who are interested and would like to get an impression and learn about the method of Quasielastic Neutron Scattering (QENS).

Scattering of the halo nucleus 11Be from a lead target at 3.5 times the Coulomb barrier energy

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
Angular distributions of quasielastic scattering and breakup of the neutron-rich halo nucleus 11Be on a 208Pb target at an incident energy of 140 MeV (about 3.5 times the Coulomb barrier) were measured at HIRFL-RIBLL.

Moisture-Dependent Vibrational Dynamics and Phonon Transport in Nanocellulose Materials. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Mater
Uptake of water in cellulose play an important role in modulating the structure and phonon transport. This study reports how moisture‐dependent structural modification relates to the vibrational dynamics and phonon transport and scattering of nanocellulose using inelastic neutron scattering and wide angle X‐ray scattering.
