The quasilinearization method on an unbounded domain [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2002
We apply a method of quasilinearization to a boundary value problem for an ordinary differential equation on an unbounded domain. A uniquely determined Green’s function, which is integrable and of fixed sign, is employed. The hypotheses to apply the quasilinearization method imply uniqueness of solutions.

Convergence conditions for extreme solutions of an impulsive differential system

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
In this paper, we discuss the existence and convergence conditions of extreme solutions for a first-order differential boundary value system with an impulsive integral condition.

Bernstein Collocation Method for Solving Nonlinear Fredholm-Volterra Integrodifferential Equations in the Most General Form

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
A collocation method based on the Bernstein polynomials defined on the interval [a,b] is developed for approximate solutions of the Fredholm-Volterra integrodifferential equation (FVIDE) in the most general form.

Parameter identification for an abstract Cauchy problem by quasilinearization [PDF]

open access: yes
A parameter identification problem is considered in the context of a linear abstract Cauchy problem with a parameter-dependent evolution operator. Conditions are investigated under which the gradient of the state with respect to a parameter possesses ...

Quasilinearization method for causal terminal value problems involving Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
In this work, we construct new definitions for a causal terminal value problem involving Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives, and study the unique solution by combining techniques from generalized quasilinearization.

Reproducing Kernel Method for Fractional Riccati Differential Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
This paper is devoted to a new numerical method for fractional Riccati differential equations. The method combines the reproducing kernel method and the quasilinearization technique.

Parameter estimation of powered-lift STOL aircraft characteristics including turbulence and ground effects [PDF]

open access: yes
The estimation of longitudinal aerodynamic coefficients from data recorded during flight tests of a powered-lift STOL aircraft is considered. First, a comparison is made between the coefficient values determined by the regression and quasilinearization ...

A numerical treatment of unsteady three-dimensional hydromagnetic flow of a Casson fluid with Hall and radiation effects

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
The study of the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic three-dimensional radiative flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting Casson liquid along a stretching surface including the effects of Hall current is presented in this article. The fluid flow
