We consider in dimension 3 a homogeneous superfluid at very low temperature $T$ having two types of excitations, (i) gapless acoustic phonons with a linear dispersion relation at low wave number, and (ii) gapped $\gamma $ quasiparticles with a quadratic (

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

Quasiparticle interference in an iron-based superconductor [PDF]
We develop a model for the effect of a magnetic field on quasiparticle interference in an iron-based superconductor. Recently, scanning tunneling experiments have been performed on Fe(Se, Te) to determine the relative sign of the superconducting gap from

Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.

Quasiparticle losses at the surface of superconducting tunnel junction detectors [PDF]
Superconducting tunnel junctions (STJs) are promising as high energy resolution x-ray detectors. However, the theoretical limit of the energy resolution of STJs has not yet been reached for several reasons.

Skyrmion number for a generalized vector Poincaré beam
We investigate two initial vector Poincaré-type light fields that can be treated as optical skyrmions – topological quasiparticles. For such fields, explicit expressions are obtained for the components of a 3D-vector skyrmionic field in the initial plane

Harmonic and reactive behavior of the quasiparticle tunnel current in SIS junctions
In this paper, we show theoretically and experimentally that the reactive quasiparticle tunnel current of the superconductor tunnel junction could be directly measured at specific bias voltages for the higher harmonics of the quasiparticle tunnel current.

Gapless Superconductivity From Extremely Dilute Magnetic Disorder in 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx
We demonstrate that 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx hosts gapless superconductivity at unexpectedly low magnetic impurity concentrations. Combining STM, Bogoliubovde Gennes simulations, DFT, and quasiparticle interference, we comprehensively study the development of gapless behavior and show that SeS substitution reshapes the band structure, enhances nesting, and drives ...

Condensing Non-Abelian Quasiparticles [PDF]
A most interesting feature of certain fractional quantum Hall states is that their quasiparticles obey non-Abelian fractional statistics. So far, candidate non-Abelian wave functions have been constructed from conformal blocks in cleverly chosen conformal field theories.

From chiral vibration to tilted-axis wobbling within broken chiral symmetry
The effect of non-axial rigid alignment of the quasiparticle spins on the behaviour of the chiral partner bands is investigated within a semiclassical treatment of a particle-rotor Hamiltonian. A valence h11/2 proton particle and a h11/2 neutron hole are
