Quasistable states in globally coupled tent map systems
Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2003The characteristics of long lasting but not perpetual chaotic states appear in a wide parameter region in a globally coupled overcritical tent map system are exhibited. The lifetime of the transient state has essential relevance with the system size. In some parameter region, the lifetime saturates at a certain level, while in another region it seems ...

Ion-Enhanced Diffusion in Quasistable Drift Waves
The Physics of Fluids, 1972An improved quasilinear theory of drift waves is shown to be capable of accounting for the existence of finite, ion-enhanced diffusion even when the waves are stable and collisions are absent.

Importance of a quasistable V4O9 to synthesize a highly crystalline VOHPO4·0.5H2O
Applied Catalysis A: General, 1995Abstract The organic solvent method to synthesize a highly crystalline VOHPO4·0.5H2O was investigated. Firstly, reduction of V2O5 in alcohols was studied. It was clear that there existed a quasistable V4O9 state after reduction with isobutyl alcohol.

Summary: We consider a multiple objective combinatorial optimization problem with an arbitrary vector-criterion. The necessary and sufficient conditions for stability and quasistability are obtained for large classes of problems with partial criteria possessing certain properties of regularity.

Quasistable state of an amplifying medium with an infinite energy store
Soviet Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1977An analysis was made of the dynamics of population inversion and photon field density in an amplifying medium enclosed in a totally reflecting cavity and characterized by fast inversion switching. A dimensionless parameter D representing the stability of this medium is introduced.
