Chromatic quasisymmetric functions for signed graphs

open access: yes
In 1995, Stanley introduced the chromatic symmetric function of a graph, which specializes to its chromatic polynomial, and which has been the focus of intense research.

A signed \(e\)-expansion of the chromatic quasisymmetric function [PDF]

open access: yesCombinatorial Theory
We prove a new signed elementary symmetric function expansion of the chromatic quasisymmetric function of any natural unit interval graph. We then use a sign-reversing involution to prove a new combinatorial formula for K-chains, which are graphs formed by joining cliques at single vertices.

Chromatic quasisymmetric functions

open access: yes
The purpose of this thesis is to deal with chromatic quasisymmetric functions and the Shareshian-Wachs conjecture. In the first part, we gradually introduce the problem, showing which are the main reasons why it is studied. We begin with graph colorings,

Quasisymmetric Graphs and Zygmund Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A quasisymmetric graph is a curve whose projection onto a line is a quasisymmetric map. We show that this class of curves is related to solutions of the reduced Beltrami equation and to a generalization of the Zygmund class lambda. This relation makes it

Multi-quasisymmetric functions with semigroup exponents, Hopf algebras and Rota-Baxter algebras [PDF]

open access: yes
Many years ago, G.-C.~Rota discovered a close connection between symmetric functions and Rota-Baxter algebras, and proposed to study generalizations of symmetric functions in the framework of Rota-Baxter algebras.

Quasisymmetric functions of extremal growth

open access: yesAnnales Academiae Scientiarum Fennicae Series A I Mathematica, 1986
An increasing homeomorphism f of the real axis onto itself is K- quasisymmetric (k-qs) if \[ (*)\quad 1/K\leq (f(x+t)-f(x))/(f(x)-f(x- t))\leq K \] for all real x and positive t. We write \(N_ 0(K)\) for the class of K-qs functions that fix the points \(\pm 1\).
