Recent Trends in Quasisymmetric Functions [PDF]
This article serves as an introduction to several recent developments in the study of quasisymmetric functions. The focus of this survey is on connections between quasisymmetric functions and the combinatorial Hopf algebra of noncommutative symmetric functions, appearances of quasisymmetric functions within the theory of Macdonald polynomials, and ...

MODULES OF THE 0-HECKE ALGEBRA AND QUASISYMMETRIC SCHUR FUNCTIONS
. We begin by deriving an action of the 0-Hecke alegbra on standard reverse composition tableaux and use it to discover 0-Hecke modules whose quasisymmetric characteristic are the natural refinements of Schur functions known as quasisymmetric Schur ...

The Enriched $q$-Monomial Basis of the Quasisymmetric Functions
We construct a new family $\left( \eta_{\alpha}^{\left( q\right) }\right)_{\alpha\in\operatorname*{Comp}}$ of quasisymmetric functions for each element $q$ of the base ring. We call them the "enriched $q$-monomial quasisymmetric functions". When $r:=q+1$ is invertible, this family is a basis of $\operatorname*{QSym}$.

Combinatorial Properties of Quasisymmetric Schur Functions and Generalized Demazure Atoms [PDF]
The Schur functions, which form an important basis for the ring of symmetric functions, have been shown in recent years to have various quasisymmetric and nonsymmetric refinements.
