A graph polynomial from chromatic symmetric functions
Abstract Many graph polynomials may be derived from the coefficients of the chromatic symmetric function X G ${X}_{G}$ of a graph G $G$ when expressed in different bases. For instance, the chromatic polynomial is obtained by mapping p n → x ${p}_{n}\to x$ for each n $n$ in this function, while a polynomial whose coefficients enumerate acyclic ...

Abstract A transient extreme rainstorm that occurred over Guangzhou city, China, on 22 May 2020, has been investigated based on two ensemble prediction systems (EPSs), one with 9‐km (TRAMS9km‐EPS) and the other with 3‐km (TRAMS3km‐EPS) grid spacings, respectively.

An Unsupervised Deep Learning Framework for Retrospective Gating of Catheter‐Based Cardiac Imaging
Motion artifacts are a major challenge in the in vivo application of catheter‐based cardiac imaging modalities. Gating is a critical tool for suppressing motion artifacts. Electrocardiogram (ECG) gating requires a trigger device or synchronous ECG recordings for retrospective analysis.

Enumerative combinatorics, representations and quasisymmetric functions [PDF]

Eulerian quasisymmetric functions and cyclic sieving
It is shown that a refined version of a q-analogue of the Eulerian numbers together with the action, by conjugation, of the subgroup of the symmetric group $S_n$ generated by the $n$-cycle $(1,2,...,n)$ on the set of permutations of fixed cycle type and fixed number of excedances provides an instance of the cyclic sieving phenonmenon of Reiner, Stanton

Polygonal Quasiconformality and Grunsky’s Operator
This paper concerns the old problem of the connection between the dilatations of a given quasisymmetric homeomorphism h of a circle and the associated polygonal quasiconformal maps with a fixed finite number of boundary points, namely whether k(h)=supkn,

Quasisymmetric expansion of Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions
In our previous works we introduced a $q$-deformation of the generating functions for enriched $P$-partitions. We call the evaluation of this generating functions on labelled chains, the $q$-fundamental quasisymmetric functions.
