Optimal simulation of three-qubit gates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we study the optimal simulation of three-qubit unitary by using two-qubit gates. First, we give a lower bound on the two-qubit gates cost of simulating a multi-qubit gate.

Efficient one- and two-qubit pulsed gates for an oscillator stabilized Josephson qubit

open access: yes, 2008
We present theoretical schemes for performing high-fidelity one- and two-qubit pulsed gates for a superconducting flux qubit. The "IBM qubit" consists of three Josephson junctions, three loops, and a superconducting transmission line.

Encoding One Logical Qubit Into Six Physical Qubits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We discuss two methods to encode one qubit into six physical qubits. Each of our two examples corrects an arbitrary single-qubit error. Our first example is a degenerate six-qubit quantum error-correcting code.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Strong coupling of a single photon to a superconducting qubit using circuit quantum electrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 2004
The interaction of matter and light is one of the fundamental processes occurring in nature, and its most elementary form is realized when a single atom interacts with a single photon.

Optimal signal processing for continuous qubit readout

open access: yes, 2014
The measurement of a quantum two-level system, or a qubit in modern terminology, often involves an electromagnetic field that interacts with the qubit, before the field is measured continuously and the qubit state is inferred from the noisy field ...

On the Measurement of Qubits

open access: yes, 2005
We describe in detail the theory underpinning the measurement of density matrices of a pair of quantum two-level systems (``qubits''). Our particular emphasis is on qubits realized by the two polarization degrees of freedom of a pair of entangled photons generated in a down-conversion experiment; however the discussion applies in general, regardless of
