Mycorrhiza dark brown with monopodial-pyramidal ramitication. The most remarkable feature is the pseudoparenchymatous outer mantle layer transient to plectenchymatous with irregularly shaped hyphae, some of them almost epidermoid, and the mounds of roundish cells on the surface.
