Bending Vibration Suppression of a Flexible Multispan Shaft Using Smart Spring Support

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Because the flexible multispan shaft in large machines often rotates at supercritical speed, it is desirable to find ways to suppress the resulting bending vibration. In this paper, a novel type of support structure is proposed and investigated, which can suppress the bending vibration using dry friction.

Single‐cell transcriptomics redefines focal neuroendocrine differentiation as a distinct prostate cancer pathology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 10, Page 2776-2796, October 2025.
Single‐cell transcriptomics of prostate cancer patient‐derived xenografts reveals distinct features of neuroendocrine (NE) subtypes. Tumours with focal NE differentiation (NED) share transcriptional programmes with adenocarcinoma, differing from large and small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC). Our work defines the molecular landscape of NEPC,

Road Short‐Term Travel Time Prediction Method Based on Flow Spatial Distribution and the Relations

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
There are many short‐term road travel time forecasting studies based on time series, but indeed, road travel time not only relies on the historical travel time series, but also depends on the road and its adjacent sections history flow. However, few studies have considered that.

Neuropharmacological Effects of Quercetin: A Literature-Based Review

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2021
Quercetin (QUR) is a natural bioactive flavonoid that has been lately very studied for its beneficial properties in many pathologies. Its neuroprotective effects have been demonstrated in many in vitro studies, as well as in vivo animal experiments and ...

Protective Effects of Quercetin against Dimethoate‐Induced Cytotoxicity and Genotoxicity in Allium sativum Test

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
The present investigation was directed to study the possible protective activity of quercetin—a natural antioxidant against dimethoate‐induced cyto‐ and genotoxicity in meristematic cells of Allium sativum. So far there is no report on the biological properties of quercetin in plant test systems. Chromosome breaks, multipolar anaphase, stick chromosome,

Transmitting Literature, Preserving Language. Case Studies of Classical Latin from Literary Manuscripts from the Roman East (I bc–II ad)1

open access: yesTransactions of the Philological Society, Volume 122, Issue 3, Page 463-478, November 2024.
Abstract This paper aims to provide a critical survey of classical Latin literature—with a few insights into slightly later (i.e. Augustan or early imperial) literature—as transmitted in ancient manuscripts dating prior to the third century, i.e.

Existence Results for an Impulsive Neutral Fractional Integrodifferential Equation with Infinite Delay

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
We consider an impulsive neutral fractional integrodifferential equation with infinite delay in an arbitrary Banach space X. The existence of mild solution is established by using solution operator and Hausdorff measure of noncompactness.

Effect of long‐term oral administration of the flavonoid quercetin on the antioxidant profile of young and adult reproductive rabbit does

open access: yesReproduction in Domestic Animals, Volume 59, Issue S3, October 2024.
Abstract In industrialized farms, rabbit does undergo intensive production rhythms which overlap lactation and gestation, leading to a high energy mobilization and increasing oxidative stress. Accordingly, we hypothesize that administration of the flavonoid quercetin (QUR) may improve the antioxidant status of young and adult rabbit reproductive ...

Characterization and molecular docking of sustainable wine lees and gelatin‐based emulsions: innovative fat substitution

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 104, Issue 12, Page 7429-7440, September 2024.
Abstract BACKGROUND The present study aimed to determine how various amounts (0.00, 0.58, 1.52 and 4.50 g 100 g−1) of wine lees (WL), which contains numerous essential components, impact the emulsifying properties of fish gelatin (FG) at a low concentration (0.5 g 100 g−1) in the high‐fat phase (65 g 100 g−1).
