Guest Editorial: Quantum industry: Applications in quantum communication (Quantum.Tech Europe 2022)

open access: yesIET Quantum Communication, Volume 5, Issue 3, Page 198-201, September 2024.
Abstract Quantum technology harnesses the principles of quantum mechanics to accomplish tasks in a different way as compared to the classical technologies. This includes quantum computing, which uses qubits for parallel information processing, greatly enhancing computation speed and entanglement and empowering problem‐solving abilities.

Genetic Synthesis of New Reversible/Quantum Ternary Comparator

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2015
Methods of quantum/reversible logic synthesis are based on the use of the binary nature of quantum computing. However, multiple-valued logic is a promising choice for future quantum computer technology due to a number of advantages over binary circuits.

Quantum teleportation of a single qutrit using two-qutrit entangled states

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Information
We demonstrate quantum teleportation of a qutrit system using a complete set of two-qutrit entangled states obtained from the representation theory of the SU(3) group. All measurement gates essential for end-to-end teleportation are systematically evaluated, and these are found to be nonunitary.

Formation of Matrices of S = 1, S = 3/2 Spin Systems in Quantum Information Theory

open access: yesJournal of New Results in Science, 2018
Thereare many methods for designing quantum computers, which are generated by rapidprogress of computer technology. In this work, it is aimed to find matrices andprocessors by using an algorithm for spin 1 and 3/2, which can be observed withEPR ...

Qutrit Control for Bucket Brigade RAM Using Transmon Systems

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Qudits allow the encoding and manipulation of additional quantum information compared to that stored to a two-level qubit system. Although manipulations of qudit states are generally more complex and can introduce extra sources of noise, qudits can still

Resonator-qutrit quantum battery

open access: yesPhysical Review A
Quantum batteries (QBs) are energy storage and transfer microdevices that open up new possibilities in energy technology. Here, we derive a resonator-qutrits quantum battery (QB) model consisting of a multi-modes resonator and $N$ superconducting transmon qutrits.

Robust entangled qutrit states in atmospheric turbulence

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
The entangled quantum state of a photon pair propagating through atmospheric turbulence suffers decay of entanglement due to the scintillation it experiences. In this paper, we investigate the robustness against this decay for different qutrit states. An

Freezing dynamics of entanglement and nonlocality for qutrit-qutrit (3 ⊗ 3) quantum systems [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2019
We examine the possibilities of nontrivial phenomena of time-invariant entanglement and freezing dynamics of entanglement for qutrit-qutrit quantum systems. We find no evidence for time-invariant entanglement, however, we do observe that certain quantum states freeze their entanglement after decaying for some time.

Scheme of preparing cluster states with cat qubits

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Cluster states are essential quantum resources for one-way quantum computations and quantum networks. The reliable generation of cluster states in specific quantum systems is crucial for initializing complex quantum operations.

Harvesting magic from the vacuum

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Magic is the quantum resource allowing a quantum computer to perform operations that cannot be simulated efficiently by classical computation. As such, generating magic in a quantum system is crucial for achieving quantum advantage.
