Extension of the Alberti-Uhlmann criterion beyond qubit dichotomies [PDF]
The Alberti-Uhlmann criterion states that any given qubit dichotomy can be transformed into any other given qubit dichotomy by a quantum channel if and only if the testing region of the former dichotomy includes the testing region of the latter dichotomy.

Generalized Euler Angle Paramterization for SU(N)
In a previous paper (math-ph/0202002) an Euler angle parameterization for SU(4) was given. Here we present the derivation of a generalized Euler angle parameterization for SU(N).

Single photonic qutrit in a collective Rydberg polariton
Qutrit with highly efficient algorithms and security is imperative in quantum information processing. Here, we demonstrate for the first time the coherent creation, control, and readout of a single photonic qutrit in a cold Rydberg ensemble.

SIC-POVMs and Compatibility among Quantum States
An unexpected connection exists between compatibility criteria for quantum states and Symmetric Informationally Complete quantum measurements (SIC-POVMs). Beginning with Caves, Fuchs and Schack’s "Conditions for compatibility of quantum state assignments"

One-Dimensional Lazy Quantum Walk in Ternary System
Quantum walks play an important role for developing quantum algorithms and quantum simulations. Here, we introduce a first of its kind one-dimensional lazy quantum walk in the ternary quantum domain and show its equivalence for circuit realization in ...

Dynamics of entanglement for a two-parameter class of states in a qubit-qutrit system
We investigate the dynamics of entanglement for a two-parameter class of states in a hybrid qubit-qutrit system under the influence of various dissipative channels.

Qubit representation of qudit states: correlations and state reconstruction
A method to establish a qubit decomposition of a general qudit state is presented. This new representation allows a geometrical depiction of any qudit state in the Bloch sphere.

Violation of Qudit Mermin's Inequality and Its Application to Quantum Computing
High‐dimensional multipartite nonlocality certifies genuinely d$d$‐level many‐body correlations and enables measurement‐based quantum computation (MBQC) with measurement alphabets larger than those achievable with binary qubit settings. This work demonstrates this nonlocality by violating a three‐level Mermin inequality with a frequency–time‐entangled ...

Cat states in one- and two-mode Z_{3} Rabi models
We investigate one- and two-mode variants of the Z_{3}-symmetric quantum Rabi model, which describe the interaction of a qutrit with one or two bosonic modes and are directly relevant for circuit-QED and spin-qudit platforms.
