The equation x^py^q=z^r and groups that act freely on \Lambda-trees
Let $G$ be a finitely generated group that acts freely on a $\Lambda$-tree, where $\Lambda$ is an ordered abelian group, and let $x, y, z$ be elements in $G$.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

ImbTreeEntropy: An R package for building entropy-based classification trees on imbalanced datasets
In this paper, we propose a novel R package, named ImbTreeEntropy, for building binary and multiclass decision trees using generalized entropy functions, such as Rènyi, Tsallis, Sharma–Mittal, Sharma–Taneja and Kapur, to measure the impurity of a node ...

Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

Two-dimensional Poisson Trees converge to the Brownian web [PDF]
The Brownian web can be roughly described as a family of coalescing one-dimensional Brownian motions starting at all times in R and at all points of R .

On the Minimum Number of Spanning Trees in Cubic Multigraphs
Let G2n, H2n be two non-isomorphic connected cubic multigraphs of order 2n with parallel edges permitted but without loops. Let t(G2n), t (H2n) denote the number of spanning trees in G2n, H2n, respectively. We prove that for n ≥ 3 there is the unique G2n

Interlacing Orchard Canopy Separation and Assessment using UAV Images
To minimize pesticide dosage and its adverse environmental impact, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) spraying requires precise individual canopy information. Branches from neighboring trees may overlap, preventing image-based artificial intelligence analysis
