Comprehensive Evidence for Mortality and Underlying Morbidity Related to Visceral Fat Distribution

open access: yesMed Research, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 214-226, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Linking obesity to mortality is an intriguing and controversial topic. This study tried to comprehensively assess 8 adiposity surrogates and mortality association among middle‐to‐old‐aged adults to identify a superior one, and explore explanatory disorders. Data sources included the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), UK

Score Sequence Pair Problems of (r11, r12, r22)-Tournaments----Determination of Realizability----

open access: yesIEICE Transactions on Information and Systems, 2007
Let G be any graph with property P (for example, general graph, directed graph, etc.) and S be nonnegative and non-decreasing integer sequence(s). The prescribed degree sequence problem is a problem to determine whether there is a graph G having S as the prescribed sequence(s) of degrees or outdegrees of the vertices.

Siloxane Decomposition and Clustering in Atmospheric Pressure Non‐Thermal Plasma Discharge

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 23, Issue 6, June 2026.
Atmospheric‐pressure He/HMDSO plasmas convert HMDSO to PDMS deposits. At lower power, mass growth is suppressed, while small silicon‐containing fragments and hydrocarbon radicals dominate. Stable small hydrocarbons are formed at higher power, reflecting enhanced fragmentation and recombination pathways.

CO‐Resistant Al‐Doped AB5‐Type Hydrogen Storage Alloys

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The safe and stable hydrogen storage is a key challenge in the development of hydrogen energy. AB5‐type solid hydrogen storage is considered as a promising method due to its excellent reversible absorption/desorption performance and cycling stability at room temperature. However, AB5‐type hydrogen storage alloys are susceptible to poisoning by

Emergency Department Presentations During Dry and Humid Heatwaves: A Case‐Crossover Study in the Northern Territory, Australia

open access: yesGeoHealth, Volume 10, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract In a rapidly warming climate, heatwaves pose an increasing threat to human health. However, there is limited knowledge of heatwave impacts on health outcomes, or the role of humidity in the tropical and arid climates of Australia's Northern Territory (NT).

Predicting Nitrogen Isotope Fractionation in Nitrate Deposition on Early Mars

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Noachian and early Hesperian Mars were likely warm and wet, with an atmosphere abundant in molecular nitrogen. The recent discovery of nitrate deposits in the Yellowknife Bay mudstones at Gale Crater confirm the existence of nitrogen oxides (NOX) on Noachian Mars. The processes responsible for the production of these nitrates would fractionate
