From Diet to Scar: Novel Mendelian Randomization and Mediation Analyses Linking Dietary Habits, Gut Microbiota, and Hypertrophic Scarring

Our Mendelian randomization study demonstrated that specific dietary preferences and gut microbial taxa independently influence the risk of hypertrophic scarring (HTS). Dietary habits such as reduced intake of refined sugars and increased consumption of antioxidant‐rich foods were protective.
