Environmental Sustainability of Automobile AIR-Conditioning System with Refrigerant R1234YF

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advance Research and Innovation, 2015
Air- conditioning refrigerant R134a has value of global warming potential (GWP) 1300, which is much higher than MAC Directive (GWP below 150) passed in July 2006. This prompted a search for alternative eco-friendly refrigerant with GWP value less than 150. R1234yf is a new refrigerant which has lower GWP value of 4.

Organic rankine cycle modelling and the ORCmKit library: analysis of R1234ze(Z) as drop-in replacement of R245fa for low-grade waste heat recovery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Due to the wide interest in organic Rankine cycles (ORCs) as a sustainable technology and the importance of numerical analyses and optimization procedures while considering such systems, we created a dedicated open-source library named “ORC modelling Kit”

Thermo-economic optimization of organic rankine cycle CHP with low temperature waste heat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Combined heat and power (CHP) systems are able to decrease the total energy use of primary energy sources. In the CHP system studied, internal combustion engines produce electricity and the hot engine cooling water is used for building heating.
