Comparative study of indocyanine green (ICG)-R15 and Albumin-Indocyanine Green Evaluation (ALICE) grading system in the prediction of posthepatectomy liver failure and postoperative mortality in patients with hepatic alveolar echinococcosis

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology, 2022
Background A precise evaluation of liver reserve function in patients with hepatic alveolar echinococcosis (HAE) prior to hepatectomy could substantially increase the success rate of the operation and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications ...

Rhesus Rhadinovirus R15 Encodes a Functional Homologue of Human CD200 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Virology, 2006
ABSTRACT A viral CD200 homologue (vCD200) encoded by open reading frame R15 of rhesus rhadinovirus (RRV), a gammaherpesvirus closely related to human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8), is described here. RRV vCD200 shares 30% and 28% amino acid identity with human CD200 (huCD200) and HHV-8 vCD200, respectively.

Age-associated bidirectional modulation of gene expression in single identified R15 neuron of Aplysia [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2013
AbstractBackgroundDespite the advances in our understanding of aging-associated behavioral decline, relatively little is known about how aging affects neural circuits that regulate specific behaviors, particularly the expression of genes in specific neural circuits during aging.

Slow depolarizing and hyperpolarizing currents which mediate bursting in Aplysia neurone R15. [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, 1985
Interruption of normal bursting activity by application of a voltage clamp reveals that action potentials in Aplysia neurone R15 are followed by two slow currents that long outlast the currents produced during the action potentials. Similar currents are seen following simulation of an action potential with a brief depolarizing pulse delivered under ...

Comparative study of indocyanine green-R15, Child-Pugh score, and model for end-stage liver disease score for prediction of hepatic encephalopathy after transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt

open access: yesWorld Journal of Gastroenterology, 2021
BACKGROUND Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) remains an enormous challenge in patients who undergo transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) implantation.

A Nomogram Based on Preoperative Lab Tests, BMI, ICG-R15, and EHBF for the Prediction of Post-Hepatectomy Liver Failure in Patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Medicine, 2022
Background: Liver cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, and worldwide, its incidence ranks sixth, and its morality third. Post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) is the leading cause of death in patients who have undergone liver resection ...

A Clinical-Radiomic Model for Predicting Indocyanine Green Retention Rate at 15 Min in Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Surgery, 2022
Purpose:The indocyanine green retention rate at 15 min (ICG-R15) is of great importance in the accurate assessment of hepatic functional reserve for safe hepatic resection.
