Influence of ultrasound on pool boiling heat transfer to mixtures of the refrigerants R23 and R134A

International Journal of Refrigeration, 1997
The effect of ultrasound on pool boiling heat transfer to mixtures of the refrigerants R23 and R134a has been investigated in a wide range of heat flux and saturation pressure. The enhancement of the heat transfer coefficient, which can be achieved by ultrasound, is much more pronounced for mixtures than for pure substances.

Investigation on solid-liquid equilibrium for trifluoromethane (R23) plus difluoromethane (R32) binary system

International Journal of Refrigeration, 2021
In this paper, an experimental apparatus based on a Calvet calorimeter (SETARAM BT2.15) was setup to measure the solid – liquid equilibrium for trifluoromethane (R23) plus difluoromethane (R32) binary system.

Energy and exergy analysis of a Linde-Hampson refrigeration system using R170, R41 and R1132a as low-GWP refrigerant blend components to replace R23

Energy, 2021
This study presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of the thermodynamic performance of a single-stage Linde-Hampson refrigerator (LHR) for refrigerant couples, namely R1234yf+R170, R1234yf+R23, R1234yf+R41 and R1234yf+R1132a, to seek the most ...

Virial Coefficients from Burnett Measurements for the R23 + N2O System

International Journal of Thermophysics, 2006
This paper presents experimental results for the trifluoromethane (R23) + nitrous oxide (N2O) system, which has been chosen as a working fluid for low-temperature applications since it might be a valid option for the low-temperature stage in a cascade cycle.

Experimental investigation of cycle characteristics of a R23 and R600a based Joule-Thomson refrigerator

Heat and Mass Transfer, 2018
This paper proposes a novel refrigerant pair, i.e., R23(trifluoromethane) and R600a(isobutane), for Joule-Thompson (JT) refrigerating systems for 200 K applications, and investigates its performance in a modified smaller domestic cooler. The influence of the refrigerant ratios and the condensing temperature on the JT performance is investigated, and ...
