Si─Si Bonding in an Unsupported N‐Heterocyclic Silylene Dimer Stabilized by an Iminophosphorane‐Based Scorpionate Ligand Versus Head‐to‐Tail Coordination in the Sn and Pb Tetrylenes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 25, 2 July 2026.
A new iminophosphorane‐based scorpionate ligand enabled the characterization of a head‐to‐head silylene dimer with unsupported Si─Si bonding, whereas the tetrylene species of Sn and Pb afforded head‐to‐tail coordination polymers in the solid state. ABSTRACT N,N‐chelating ligands disfavor element–element bonding in heavier alkene analogs of group 13 and

GAZA AND THE FAILURE OF R2P: UNVEILING SYSTEMIC CHALLENGES IN INTERNATIONAL LAW AND GEOPOLITICS

open access: yesMalaysian Journal of Syariah and Law
The Responsibility to Protect (R2P) is an international commitment aimed at preventing humanitarian catastrophes. Nevertheless, in contrast to this admirable objective, the execution of R2P in Gaza reveals a situation that is quite depressing.

The Up-to-Dateness of the Debate on Responsibility to Protect

open access: yesPrzegląd Prawniczy Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza, 2020
The aim of the article is to review the contemporary debate on the concept of Respon-sibility to Protect. Numerous publications concerning R2P are the best illustration of the fact that it is a very topical subject.

REVISITING THE RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT AS AN INTERNATIONAL NORM

open access: yesJournal of International Studies, 2022
The purpose of the paper is to revisit the origin of the principle of responsibility to protect (R2P) focusing on few cases and reflecting on the troubled journey that it has made maneuvering its structural constraints posed by hegemonic powers and ...

Assessing Moisture Content of Coolstored Blueberries During Water Loss Scenarios Using Hyperspectral Imaging

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science, Volume 54, Issue 2, June 2026.
Water loss is a key factor affecting the postharvest quality and shelf life of blueberries, and storage conditions (humidity and time) play an important role in regulating water retention capacity of stored berries. This study aims to explore the variation of moisture content (MC) in blueberries under different storage humidity and storage time ...

R2P and the ICC: At Odds or in Sync? [PDF]

open access: yesCriminal Law Forum, 2015
The first years of the new millennium witnessed two global normative and institutional developments in efforts to deal with mass atrocities. These are the responsibility to protect (R2P) norm and the International Criminal Court (ICC). R2P provides a normative framework for preventing and stopping mass atrocity situations, such as genocide and crimes ...

Humanitarian Intervention and R2P [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of International Peacekeeping, 2020
In this piece, Henderson looks to the shadow of Rwanda in terms of the concept of humanitarian intervention, and the evolution of the R2P doctrine. Tracing the re-examination of the conceptualisations of sovereignty and the principle of non-intervention that evolved after Rwanda, Henderson assesses the legal, normative, and institutional challenges ...

Exploring the Reactivity of Perphenylheptasilanes: Synthesis of Terminally Functionalized Derivatives

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 7, 6 May 2026.
Different methods to prepare 1,7‐disubstituted tetradecaphenylheptasilanes are explored. The triflated heptasilane TfO‐(SiPh2)7‐OTf reacts with alkali metal halides to produce the 1,7‐dihalogenides X‐(SiPh2)7‐X (X = F, Cl, Br, I). The 1,7‐dihydrogen derivative H‐(SiPh2)7‐H is obtained with LiAlH4 or (i‐Bu)2AlH as reducing agents.

Internalization of Responsibility to Protect (R2P): Responsibility to Invoke ‘Peace from Within’ Afghanistan by the Taliban Regime (2021)

open access: yesNUST Journal of International Peace and Stability
Sovereignty, concerning state authority, endows the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) the rights of citizens. This redefined and broadened scope of sovereignty is ascribed to the international norm of the R2P.

Self‐Incandescent Heating‐Driven Microstructural Consolidation of Biscrolled Cu/CNT Yarns for Reduced Frequency‐Dependent AC Resistance

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 10, Issue 9, 8 May 2026.
Self‐incandescent heating (SIH) induces microstructural consolidation in biscrolled Cu/CNT yarns, resulting in improved electrical conductivity, a smaller frequency‐dependent increase in AC resistance within the measured range, and stable electrical performance under repeated bending.
