Exploring the Reactivity of Perphenylheptasilanes: Synthesis of Terminally Functionalized Derivatives

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
Different methods to prepare 1,7‐disubstituted tetradecaphenylheptasilanes are explored. The triflated heptasilane TfO‐(SiPh2)7‐OTf reacts with alkali metal halides to produce the 1,7‐dihalogenides X‐(SiPh2)7‐X (X = F, Cl, Br, I). The 1,7‐dihydrogen derivative H‐(SiPh2)7‐H is obtained with LiAlH4 or (i‐Bu)2AlH as reducing agents.

An environmentally benign multi-component reaction: Highly regioselective synthesis of functionalized 2-(diarylphosphoryl)-1,2-dihydro-pyridine derivatives

open access: yesGreen Synthesis and Catalysis, 2022
A novel protocol was developed for the construction of highly functionalized 2-(diarylphosphoryl)-1,2-dihydropyridine derivatives (DAPDHPs) from 3-formylchromones (1), heterocyclic ketene aminals (HKAs, 2), and phosphine oxides (R2P(O)H, 3) via a novel ...

The Reaction 7Li(pi+,pi-)7B and its Implications for 7B

open access: yes, 1998
The reaction 7Li(pi+,pi-)7B has been measured at incident pion energies of 30-90 MeV. 7Li constitutes the lightest target nucleus, where the pionic charge exchange may proceed as a binary reaction to a discrete final state.

The Credibility of Bioethics After the Gaza Genocide

open access: yesBioethics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Between October 2023 and January 2025, the Israeli military's sustained attacks on Gaza resulted in an estimated 186,000 deaths and the systematic destruction of healthcare infrastructure. Despite the professed commitment to human dignity, justice, and the minimization of suffering within bioethics, major institutions and scholars in the field

Story2Board: A Training‐Free Approach for Expressive Visual Storytelling

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We present Story2Board, a training‐free framework for expressive storyboard generation from natural language. Existing methods narrowly focus on subject identity, overlooking key aspects of visual storytelling such as spatial composition, background evolution, and narrative pacing.

Assessing Moisture Content of Coolstored Blueberries During Water Loss Scenarios Using Hyperspectral Imaging

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science, Volume 54, Issue 2, June 2026.
Water loss is a key factor affecting the postharvest quality and shelf life of blueberries, and storage conditions (humidity and time) play an important role in regulating water retention capacity of stored berries. This study aims to explore the variation of moisture content (MC) in blueberries under different storage humidity and storage time ...
