Oral Therapy for Experimental Coccidioidomycosis with R41 400 (Ketoconazole), a New Imidazole

The American Review of Respiratory Disease, 1978
Abstract Oral treatment of mice with R41 400, ketoconazole, after intranasal challenge with arthrospores of Coccidioides immitis prevented death at doses of 40 mg per kg of body weight per day. Doses of 160 mg per kg of body weight per day during 50 to 100 days eradicated the fungus from the lungs, liver, spleen, and kidneys of ...

Thermodynamic analysis of CO2 blends with R41 as an azeotropy refrigerant applied in small refrigerated cabinet and heat pump water heater

Applied Thermal Engineering, 2017
Abstract In this study, blend of CO2 with R41 is evaluated for application in three different systems including a refrigerated cabinet, an air-source heat pump water heater and a water-source heat pump water heater. The effects of CO2/R41 mixture as an azeotropy refrigerant on system performance are analyzed under various working conditions.

Comparative analysis of thermodynamic performance of a cascade refrigeration system for refrigerant couples R41/R404A and R23/R404A

Applied Energy, 2016
Abstract This study presents a comparative analysis of thermodynamic performance of cascade refrigeration systems (CRSs) for refrigerant couples R41/R404A and R23/R404A to discover whether R41 is a suitable substitute for R23. The discharge temperature, input power of the compressor, coefficient of performance (COP), exergy loss (X) and exergy ...

Investigation on the environmental impact of R32, R152a and R41 refrigerant blends

Engineering Research Express, 2023
Abstract The improper usage of refrigerants has a drastic impact on the environment, which is contributing to global warming and ozone layer depletion. The refrigerants which are being used currently have a very high GWP (Global Warming Potential) value that signifies an adverse impact on global warming.

Thermodynamic Analysis of Low-Temperature Power Generation Transcritical Rankine Cycle With R41 and CO2

Volume 3B: Oil and Gas Applications; Organic Rankine Cycle Power Systems; Supercritical CO2 Power Cycles; Wind Energy, 2014
The performances of the transcritical Rankine cycles using R41 and CO2 as working fluids for power generation with lower temperature renewable energy are analyzed respectively and presented in this paper. The results show that the R41 cycle displays better comprehensive performance than that of the CO2 cycle.

Energetic and exergetic performance comparison of cascade refrigeration system using R170-R161 and R41-R404A as refrigerant pairs

Heat and Mass Transfer, 2018
A numerical study of cascade refrigeration system using two different refrigerant pairs, namely, R41–R404A and R170–R161 working under the same operating conditions has been presented in this paper. A computer code has been developed in Engineering Equation Solver software using the basic energy and exergy equations of cascade refrigeration system ...
