Nucleation behaviour of racemic and enantiopure histidine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
International audienceNucleation of DL-and L-histidine is examined using induction time measurements and their nucleation rates have been deduced. Results indicate a much slower nucleation for the racemic form compared to the pure enantiomer form.

The Heats of Solution of Optically Active Compounds and the Corresponding Racemic Compounds [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1980
Abstract The heats of solution of crystalline amino acids and hydroxy acid in water at 298.15 K were measured with a twin isoperibol calorimeter. It was found, as was expected from the theory, that the difference in the heat of solution between optically active compounds and their corresponding racemic compounds was appreciably large ...

Eutectozymes as Soft Hybrid Materials for Advanced Biocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Eutectozymes are sustainable hybrid materials that embed a GOx–HRP cascade within hydrophobic eutectogels featuring a dual supramolecular–covalent network. This architecture preserves native enzyme structure and stability, enables efficient heterogeneous biocatalysis in aqueous media, and positions eutectogels as robust platforms for next‐generation ...

Chiral Nanoparticles Suppress Inflammatory Infiltration to Promote Extracellular Matrix Remodeling for Ectopia Lentis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
L‐cysteine‐configured chiral polyurethane nanoparticles suppress ocular inflammation and reduce extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation in ectopia lentis by regulating macrophages polarization and inhibiting nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathway. By promoting zonular fiber‐associated protein restoration and tissue repair, this minimally invasive ...
