Finitely stable racks and rack representations [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Algebra, 2018
We define a new class of racks, called finitely stable racks, which, to some extent, share various flavors with Abelian groups. Characterization of finitely stable Alexander quandles is established. Further, we study twisted rack dynamical systems, construct their cross-products, and introduce representation theory of racks and quandles.

Numerical simulation on seismic behavior of mechanical structure for electronic equipment with bolted joints

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2019
To stably operate electronic equipment such as computers and networking devices is essential to the current information society. They should be stably operated even when they are being subjected to seismic excitations. The computers and other devices are

The local integration of Leibniz algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This article gives a local answer to the coquecigrue problem. Hereby we mean the problem, formulated by J-L. Loday in \cite{LodayEns}, is that of finding a generalization of the Lie's third theorem for Leibniz algebra.

Explicit Constructions of MSR Codes for Clustered Distributed Storage: The Rack-Aware Storage Model [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2019
The paper is devoted to the problem of erasure coding in distributed storage. We consider a model of storage that assumes that nodes are organized into equally sized groups, called racks, that within each group the nodes can communicate freely without ...

Parameter Hub: a Rack-Scale Parameter Server for Distributed Deep Neural Network Training [PDF]

open access: yesACM Symposium on Cloud Computing, 2018
Distributed deep neural network (DDNN) training constitutes an increasingly important workload that frequently runs in the cloud. Larger DNN models and faster compute engines are shifting DDNN training bottlenecks from computation to communication.

Lightweight Threshing Rack under Multisource Excitation Based on Modal Optimization Method

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Crawler rice combine harvester threshing rack excited by different frequencies of multiple working parts would cause strong vibration response. In this paper, the rack-type rice combine harvester threshing rack was taken as research objective, and then ...

The second Zolotarev case in the Erdös-Szegö solution to a Markov-type extremal problem of Schur

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2017
Schur's [20] Markov-type extremal problem is to determine (i) \(M_n= \sup_{-1\leq \xi\leq 1}\sup_{P_n\in\mathbf{B}_{n,\xi,2}}(|P_n^{(1)}(\xi)| / n^2)\), where \(\mathbf{B}_{n,\xi,2}=\{P_n\in\mathbf{B}_n:P_n^{(2)}(\xi)=0\}\subset \mathbf{B}_n=\{P_n:|P_n ...

Locality-Aware Hybrid Coded MapReduce for Server-Rack Architecture

open access: yes, 2017
MapReduce is a widely used framework for distributed computing. Data shuffling between the Map phase and Reduce phase of a job involves a large amount of data transfer across servers, which in turn accounts for increase in job completion time.

Non-homogeneous Two-Rack Model for Distributed Storage Systems

open access: yes, 2013
In the traditional two-rack distributed storage system (DSS) model, due to the assumption that the storage capacity of each node is the same, the minimum bandwidth regenerating (MBR) point becomes infeasible.

TNF receptor–related factor 3 inactivation promotes the development of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma through NF‐κB‐inducing kinase–mediated hepatocyte transdifferentiation

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Abstract Background and Aims Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a deadly but poorly understood disease, and its treatment options are very limited. The aim of this study was to identify the molecular drivers of ICC and search for therapeutic targets.
