This review systematically summarizes recent progress in electrolyte‐regulated aqueous Zn–I2 batteries (AZIBs). It outlines the fundamentals of AZIBs along with their main challenges, and then analyzes electrolyte‐engineering strategies that improve both two‐ and four‐electron reactions.
