Detection of Radon Exhalation from Various Building Materials Using CR-39, RAD7, and Biosensors
Study aimed to design and manufacture two biosensors, namely BIOS-I and BIOS-II, for 222Rn and Pb+2 measurements in building materials and soil samples. For comparison, the conventional detectors of RAD7 and CR-39 were used.

The Effect of RAD7 Gene’s Null Mutation on Single-Cell Aging [PDF]
Background: Although different theories and hypotheses were postulated for aging, molecular mechanisms of its regulations are still vastly unknown. In time, a post-mitotic cell ages with the aggregation of mutations within its genome and reach senescence. The DNA repair system that protects its genome also malfunctions with time.

The method for recalibration of thoron concentration reading of RAD7 and obtaining the thoron exhalation rate from soil surface [PDF]
Thoron exhalation rate can be obtained through the combination of the “accumulation chamber” technique and RAD7. Thoron’s rapid decay causes the intake path and the air flow rate to become important factors in calibration.

Radon concentration measurement in water reservoirs for some areas of north Baghdad by RAD7 [PDF]
Abstract Radon is a naturally occurring, odorless, colorless, radioactive, tasteless, and noble gas. Radon concentrations have been measured by the usage of alpha spectroscopy (RAD-7). The RAD-7 measuring process is based on detecting alpha particles produced from the disintegration of radon and its products using a solid-state alpha ...

Interaction of the yeast RAD7 and SIR3 proteins: implications for DNA repair and chromatin structure. [PDF]
We have used the two-hybrid system to identify proteins that interact with the product of RAD7, a gene involved in DNA repair. A screen of a yeast genomic DNA-GAL4 activation domain (GAD) fusion gene library allowed the isolation of plasmids containing sequences corresponding to the 3' end of the SIR3 gene.

The yeast DNA repair proteins RAD1 and RAD7 share similar putative functional domains [PDF]
Sequence information on eukaryotic DNA repair proteins provided so far only few clues concerning possible functional domains. Since the DNA repair process involves a strict sequential complex formation of several proteins [(1988) FASEB J. 2, 2696–2701], we searched for special protein‐protein interacting domains, which consist of tandemly repeated ...

Loss of Gst1 enhances resistance to MMS by reprogramming the transcription of DNA damage response genes in a Rad53-dependent manner in Candida albicans [PDF]
The DNA damage response is a highly conserved protective mechanism that enables cells to cope with various lesions in the genome. Extensive studies across different eukaryotic cells have identified the crucial roles played by components required for ...
