2006 First European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2006The paper presents the results of investigations of array antennas intended to radiate high-power pulses of nanosecond and subnanosecond length. The array element is a combined antenna optimized for a given length of the exciting voltage pulse. Linear array antennas were investigated by the radiation wave beam in the steering mode.

The susceptibility of radar search antennas to radio-frequency interference (RFI) is determined to a great extent by the minor lobe structure. The use of detailed, three-dimensional patterns to predict RFI is not practical because the fine structure of the antenna pattern changes with frequency, range in the Fresnel zone, and site effects.
