Wideband Radar Cross Section Reduction of Slot Antennas Arrays [PDF]
A comprehensive analysis aimed at reducing the radar cross section (RCS) of array antennas, preserving at the same time their radiating performance, is presented. A microstrip slot array is considered as a test case to illustrate the proposed strategy for radar cross section reduction (RCSR).

Experience on radar cross section reduction of a warship
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2014ABSTRACTThe aim of this work is to present a real experience on radar cross section (RCS) reduction using a radar absorbent material (RAM) made of microwire metallic fibers on a patrol ship of the Spanish Navy. The effectiveness of this RAM has been demonstrated, providing a drastic reduction in the number of significant scatterers or hot spots ...

Metasurfaces for Radar Cross-Section Reduction
2019 IEEE International Conference on Microwaves, Antennas, Communications and Electronic Systems (COMCAS), 2019This work reviews the most recent advancements in the techniqbes utilized for the reduction of Radar Cross Section (RCS) incorporating metasurfaces. Fundamental theory is briefly reviewed then followed by well-known broadband RCS-reduction metasurface designs.

Ring Resonator Metamaterials for Radar Cross Section Reduction
In this communication, we present a comparison of different ring resonator absorber structures, and a proof of concept for the application of a thin metamaterial absorber to achieve radar cross section (RCS) reduction. We demonstrate over 10dB of RCS reduction in the S-band frequency range used by Air Traffic Control (ATC) radar.

Application of Bionics in Antenna Radar Cross Section Reduction
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2009Bionics principle is applied to antenna radar cross section (RCS) reduction in this letter for the first time. To authenticate the method, a novel bionic ultrawideband (UWB) antenna is proposed by use of a model of insect tentacle. Its UWB-related radiation characteristics are simulated and experimentally verified.
